All States: Skip Logic Updates to the CRDC 23-24 Report

Skip Level Logic has been implemented on the below-mentioned criteria:

ENRL Elements:

• Overall Student Enrollment – English Learners (EL) Equals zero – Skip the following:

  • ENRL-2a: Enrollment of English Learners (EL) - All EL Students

  • ENRL-2b: Enrollment of English Learners (EL) - EL Students in Programs

• Overall Student Enrollment - Disabilities (IDEA) Equals zero – Skip the following:

  • ENRL-3a: Enrollment of Students with Disabilities – IDEA

• Overall Student Enrollment - Disabilities (Section 504 Only) equals zero – Skip the following:

  • ENRL-3b: Enrollment of Students with Disabilities – Section 504 Only

PENR Elements:

• If PENR-1: Gifted and Talented Programs Indicator = “No” skip PENR-2: Gifted and Talented Student Enrollment.

• If PENR-3: Dual Enrollment Program Indicator = “No” skip PENR-4: Student Enrollment in Dual Enrollment Programs.

• If PENR-5: Credit Recovery Indicator = “No” skip PENR-6: Credit Recovery Enrollment.

Grade Level Validation on District Page

A grade level validation feature has been implemented on the District page to ensure data integrity by restricting grade levels within the allowed range.

Key Updates:

• Lowest and highest grade levels are now determined based on the lowest and highest grades across all schools, excluding schools marked for state reporting exemption.

• Error messages will appear if an invalid grade level is entered:

  • “The grade level entered is below the minimum allowed” for values lower than the allowed range.

  • “The grade level entered exceeds the maximum allowed” for values higher than the allowed range.

MSIS 2.0: Handling Pre-Registered Students

This update ensures that pre-registered students (with Enroll_Status = -1 and a future entry date) are excluded from state reporting until their status changes to active. The system automatically includes students in reporting once their status becomes active based on the entry date.
