Ed-Fi Self Service: Configure Generic Profile Settings in Profile Configuration

Districts using the Ed-Fi Generic (EDFI_GEN7) profile can now configure key identifier and display settings directly from the Profile Configuration screen, without requiring assistance from the PowerSchool service team. Once an Ed-Fi Generic v7 profile is enabled and saved, a Configure button appears next to the profile entry.

All settings default to their pre-configured values if not manually changed. Administrators must click Submit to save their selections. Please refer to our help guide for further details.

A new generic base profile type (GEN7) is now available in the Ed-Fi Self Service offering. Districts can create and configure Ed-Fi Generic v7 profiles to support initial downloads and publishing workflows. The profile title is user-defined by the district, while the underlying profile type is set to EDFI_GEN7.

SIF Framework: Data Exchange (DEX) System Error Handling Update

Resolved an issue in the SIF Unity publishing workflow where the system could not determine the School Organization ID. The Diagnostic Viewer repeatedly displayed a “Failed to determine School Organization ID” message even though publishing was not affected. The background process now correctly identifies the school context, eliminating the error message.

REFID-based requests no longer fail with a 400 Bad Request error. Both REFID and non-REFID requests now process successfully.

SIF Framework: Sub-Districts Pull Mode Queue Enhancement

In sub-district configurations, the district/LEA dashboard was being silently skipped during SIF Pull Mode processing. Only per-school dashboards were being staged and published. This occurred because the queue logic could not match the LEA record (which uses schoolid = 0) to any entry in the schools table, causing it to be dropped.
