Grade Level Immunization

Overview

In PowerSchool SIS, districts can use the Language Tool Kit (LTK) to rename or translate grade levels. Administrators can map any LTK-renamed grade level to a core (native) grade level for immunization compliance calculations. This ensures that students in renamed or translated grades are evaluated correctly according to compliance rules.

If your district uses custom grade names (for example, "TK" for Transitional Kindergarten), immunization compliance rules may not recognize these grades correctly. This feature allows you to map each custom grade to its corresponding core grade, ensuring accurate compliance checks.

Navigation

• Classic UI:
  Go to Start Page > District Setup > Health Setup > Setup (tab)

• Enhanced UI:
  Go to Start Page > District Management > Health > Health Setup

To configure LTK Settings

1. Go to Start Page > District Management > Health > Health Setup

2. Click LTK Configuration.

3. Map students who are in LTK translated grade level to be evaluated as another grade level for immunization compliance.

   1. LTK Grade Level Name:
      This column auto-populates with any grade levels that have been renamed using LTK for the English (US) locale.

   2. Evaluate as this Grade for Immunization Compliance as?:
      Use the dropdown to select the core grade level that should be used for compliance calculations.

      • Example:
        If "TK" is used as a renamed grade, map it to "0" (Kindergarten). The immunization rules engine will then evaluate TK students as Kindergarteners for compliance.

4. Click Save.
