All States/Provinces: Refresh Attendance Tracking Data Report Updates

Additional Reference - , PSSR-438171

Refresh Attendance Tracking Data Report: Version: 2.4

The following updates are made to the Refresh Attendance Tracking Data report:

  • This report has been optimized to efficiently process large volumes of attendance data. This enhancement resolves issues related to temporary table space limitations, allowing the report to complete successfully in approximately five minutes, even for districts with extensive attendance records.

  • Resolved an issue that could cause the Refresh Attendance Tracking Data Report to fail when inserting records into the Unexcused Historical table due to database sequence exhaustion. The underlying sequence has been updated to remove its maximum value limitation.

Additionally, report logging has been enhanced to display detailed database error codes and messages in the output file.

This improvement provides clearer diagnostics and simplifies troubleshooting if similar issues occur in the future. For eg. ERROR - SCHOOL: PowerSchool_Three_-1_1 YEAR: 35 MODE: DCTD ERR MESSAGE: ORA-08004: sequence UNEXCUSEDHISTORICAL_ID_SQ.NEXTVAL exceeds MAXVALUE and cannot be instantiated

  • Resolved an issue that could cause excessive drive space consumption when a school was configured with Attendance mode as Interval Attendance Tracking Mode (ITVL) but interval value not defined in Attendance Preference. The report now logs a clear error message for schools with invalid configurations and continues processing schools with valid settings:

For ITVL attendance tracking mode, Interval Duration is expected to be set to a value greater than 0.
