Districts were unable to navigate through the State Staff pages consistently. This issue has now been resolved.

Direct Admission Pass/Fail Grades Update

Student Academic Review for Direct Admission Version: 1.0.4

The Tiers and GPA Calculations were not including pass/fail grades in the calculations, this is corrected. Schools must setup a new Academic Grade Scale and GPA Calculation Method if the school excludes pass/fail grades from their current cumulative GPA Calculation Method (i.e. CR, NC, P, NG). To create the Academic Grade Scale and GPA Calculation Method:

• A Grade Scale must be created that includes the following:

  • All grades used for grading must be included in the grade scale, including the pass/fail grades.

  • All grades in the scale must have the Counts in GPA selected (including the fail grades).

  • All the unlettered pass grades must be set with a GPA Points of 2.0.

  • All the fail grades must be set with a GPA Points of 0.

  • All grades that are used for Incomplete must be excluded from the scale.

  • Any grade in a student’s historical grades that is not included in this grade scale will not be used in the calculations.

• A GPA Calculation Method must be created that includes the following:

  • The grade scale created above must be identified as the ‘Grade scale’.

  • The ‘Only includes grades’ option must not have the ‘that counts in GPA’ selected.

• When generating the Student Academic Review for Direct Admission report the GPA Calculation Method created above must be the selected Unweighted GPA Calculation Method.

Ed-Fi Framework: Oracles Packages Not Always Loading Properly

It has been found that some Ed-Fi Oracles Packages are being loaded out of order, causing them to become invalid and Ed-Fi to no longer function. This has been fixed to load packages in the correct order and keep things working.

The following updates are made:

• The staff MN Star Information page includes two new fields:

  • Hire or Return from Leave Date

  • Termination or Leave Effective Date

• The STAR LA File includes the two new fields.
