User Roles and Permissions Overview
All Ed-Fi publishing screens respect user roles and security group permissions, ensuring controlled access based on assigned privileges.
Configure Security Settings
To manage permissions for Data Exchange pages:
System Management > Security > Security Groups > Group (Name) > Configure Page Permissions >
Data and Reporting > Data Exchange (for the main dashboard)
Student/Staff Pages > Data Exchange (for student and staff publishing pages)

Permission Levels
Level | Description |
|---|---|
Group Default | Inherits default permissions assigned to the group. |
No Access | User cannot see Data exchange page options. |
Read-Only | User can view and navigate Data exchange pages but cannot modify data. |
Edit | Full access, including republishing and deleting records. |
