Download Reconciliation Data

Prior to running the Ed-Fi Reconciliation, data must be downloaded from the ODS for comparison. The Initiate Reconciliation data publishing option is used to download data for reconciliation. The data is reconciled as the download occurs.

Currently, data reconciliation excludes records from Students, Staff, and ParentContact resources.

Follow the steps below to download data from the state ODS for data reconciliation:

1. Downloads are typically done at a school level. Select the appropriate school using the school drop-down menu.
2. Select the Ed-Fi profile under Data Exchange in the PowerSchool menu.
3. From the Ed-Fi Dashboard, click Run Now or Schedule for the resource.
4. Select Initiate Reconciliation from the Parameter Selection drop-down menu. This will start the download for the resource.
   1. Repeat this process for all categories that are dependent on the category of interest. For example, if you are reconciling Sections, also initiate a reconciliation download for Student Teacher Sections.

Ed-Fi Reconciliation Statistics

Follow the steps below to view the number of records available for data reconciliation.

1. On the Start Page, click System under Setup in the main menu.
2. Under the Data Exchange section, click Diagnostic Viewer.
3. Select Data Reconciliation Statistics from the Diagnostic View dropdown.

The Total field in the Results reflects the number of records downloaded for the resource. It does not reflect the number of discrepancies. Use the Resolve Discrepancies page to view the number of discrepancies.
