SIF Objects

Maine Department of Education supports the functionality of student information systems (SIS) used at all public school districts sending student information to the state based on the School Interoperability Framework (SIF). This is a comprehensive statewide student record tracking and reporting system.

The SIF Agent publishes predefined data from a PowerSchool application for use by other applications.

Publishing is triggered whenever add, edit, or delete events occur. For example, a new student enrollment would be an add event, while a change to one of the predefined data elements would be a change event.

Note: Verify the PowerSchool SIF Agent is installed and configured to communicate with PowerSchool and the states Data System.
