PowerSchool SIS Maine

Common SIF Questions/Errors

Below is a listing of commonly asked questions/errors when publishing data to Connect.

Q: Is there a specific version of state reporting that is needed for SIF?

A: Yes, you will need to maintain a regular upgrade of state reporting to ensure you have the latest data changes for SIF. When raising a support case, you will be asked to upgrade to ensure your environment is in an optimal state. The most current release of state reporting is advised.

Q: Do I have to publish daily/weekly/etc.?

A: No, the process is configured to automatically send data when an update has been made to a data element that is being sent to Connect. The profile has a “Data Changes” parameter that is turned on by default to allow this feature. MEDEMS also pulls data from the SIS as needed.

Q: How can I verify what data is being sent?

A: The json data that is being sent can be viewed at the student level by selecting “Data Exchange > Published > Select the desired resource” or on the SIF Dashboard by selecting the resource and then “View Published”. For more information on how to navigate the Dashboard, view the Configuration and Dashboard Overview video in the Maine State Reporting folder in PowerSchool Community.
