PSSR-381128

All States: Change history for Student Programs

Change History functionality is now available on the Student Programs page, enabling tracking of updates to key fields.

A new category has been added to the Student Program Change History page to monitor changes to Entry Date, Exit Date, SP Comment, Program, Exit Reason, and Grade Level.

Note: This functionality is not applicable to the State-specific Student Program pages.

The NCEA data collection has received the following updates to conform to the 26-27 specifications.
Updated Screens

• School Management → Academics → School Information for NCEA Reporting

• District Management → District Setup → General → District Information for NCEA Reporting

Following New Fields has been added

• Building Type (Added for School Information data collection)

  • Early Childhood Center

  • Elementary

  • Secondary

  • (P)K - 12

    Note: This field must be populated in order for that building to be represented in the report output. In addition to this new field, updates have been made to existing district-level data elements so they can be populated for each of the four Building Type values.

• Number of students who were newly baptized Catholic or received full communion during the 2025-2026 school year. Exclude students already baptized Catholic who completed first communion or confirmation (Added for School Information data collection)

26-27 CEDS Profile Enabled and 25-26 CEDS Profile Disabled

The CEDS profile for 26-27 is enabled with this update and the 25-26 profile will be disabled.

Code Set Mapping for Attendance

A new Data Exchange code set mapping page has been added so that users can map their local attendance codes to a state attendance category. This mapping will be used in publishing the student’s attendance to MSIS for state reporting.

Data View for Attendance Event Duration Added

A new column has been added to the data view for the K12 Individual Attendance screen for viewing published data. This column will display the value that is being published to MSIS for the Attendance Event Duration data point.

Monthly Enrollment and Attendance Summary v1.5

The Monthly Enrollment and Attendance Summary report has been updated to align with the 66 Percent Attendance Rule.

MSIS Attendance Present Determination Changed to 66% of Expected School Day

The system will now use the new MSIS 66% rule to determine if a student is considered present. This is determined by having the proper attendance setup for FTE and attendance conversion.

A new data point named attendanceEventDurationDay will be published to MSIS in the Student Attendance record so that daily attendance duration can be reported in alignment with updated Mississippi requirements.
