State Reporting 20.7.2.0 Release Notes

KIDS Collection KCAN: Version 2.2

The following updates are made to the KCAN report based on the 2020–21 specifications.

1. Added "F25: Work-based Learning" field to the report.

2. Removed the following fields from the report:

• D78: History/Gov Recognize and Evaluate Score
• D79: History/Gov Analyze Context and Draw Conclusions Score
• D80: History/Gov Research and Make Connections Score

Note: To extract the data for the year 2019–20, use the KCAN report version 2.1.

1. The following fields are now required in the EOYA report:

• D78: History/Gov Recognize and Evaluate Score.
• D79: History/Gov Analyze Context and Draw Conclusions Score.
• D80: History/Gov Research and Make Connections Score.
• D61: Dyslexia Subtest
• D62: Dyslexia Spring Benchmark Performance Level
• D60: Dyslexia Screener
• D90: Individual Plan of Study (IPS)

2. The following field is now required in the ENRL report:

• D43: Language Instruction Education Program Type

3. The following fields are now required in the MILT report:

• D38: Residence of Homeless Student while Homeless
• D50: Student’s Transportation Street Address
• D51: Student’s Transportation City
• D52: Student’s Transportation Zip Code
• D55: Immigrant
• D56: Country of Birth

1. Renumbered the existing fields in the validations and updated their references in warnings/validations.
2. Renamed the fields and updated the values of the fields as per the 2020-21 KIDS Collection Data Entry Updates.
3. The KCAN section in the Assessment tab of Kansas State information is removed and all the fields have been moved to the other section.
4. The D91, D92, and D93 have also moved to the section from the Demographics tab.

KIDS Collection KCAN (2019-20): Version 2.1

A new section is added on the State tab of the Reports page which contains the KIDS Collection KCAN Version 2.1 of the report. This allows you to extract the KCAN reports for the previous reporting year i.e. 2019-20 using version 2.1 and for the current reporting year 2020-21 using version 2.2.

The following business rule is updated in EOYA, MILT, and ENRL reports:

• If a student is in grade 01,02,33 or 04, then these reports will contain either 00 or 01 in the 'D58 Kansas Pre-K Pilot Program (KPP)' field. For all the other grades, a blank value will be displayed.
• If a student is in grade 00,01,02,33 or 04, then these reports will contain either 00 or 01 in the 'D59 Kansas Parents as Teachers Program (KPAT)' field. For all the other grades, a blank value will be displayed.

The following updates are made to the KIDS Collection ENRL, TEST, EOYA, EXIT, ASGT, QERY, MILT, SPED and SMSC reports.

1. The report version in the header is updated to 16.0
2. The field "D35. Primary Disability Code" is renamed to "D35. Primary Disability Indicator."
3. The field "D36. Gifted Student Code" is renamed to "D36. Gifted Student Indicator."
4. Field Ref# are updated in the reports to match the KIDS 2020-2021 Collection System File Specifications.

Added new data entry fields to the Kansas State Information's Demographics tab:

The "F25. College Credits Earned" field is renamed to "F28. College Credits Earned" on the 2 pages mentioned below:
