Introduction

The following data elements are required for student setup. The first two pages of navigation are removed for brevity:
Start Page > Student.

  1. On the Start Page select the School link at the top of the page.

  2. Choose the appropriate school from the pop-up menu.

  3. Select the first letter of the student's last name.

  4. Select a student from the list. The last accessed student information page opens for the student selected.

Student READ Status

Select the READ status for the student.

Does the child have a significant reading deficiency? Required for all K-3rd grade students and any 4th – 12th grade students who are part of the READ 3rd grade cohort group. For the 2013-2014 school year, only 4th grade will be in the cohort. Districts should attempt to assess all K-3 students, as all K-3 students enrolled on the date of submission will need to be reported in this collection.

Status for Public School Finance Act Funding

Choose the funding status from the pop-up menu.

When October 1 is selected as the student’s exit date, the Student School Association extract will report Funding Code 86, regardless of the value stored.

This field is available under the Grad Info section as part of a previous enrollment record. When a student is reenrolled, the field value is populated from the Graduate Exit Code field under the Grad Info tab available as part of the Colorado State Information page.
