This page displays the student's history of transfers into and out of your school. Use the Transfer Info function for viewing or editing information that was previously entered through the Functions page.

Note: Select the date of a current or previous enrollment to access the Edit Current/Previous Enrollment page. This section is not used for transferring a student in or out of school.

Entry Date

Note: The enrollment entry date may or may not match the school entry date (also seen as the School Start Date).

Important:  A student’s enrollment Entry Date must be the first date that the student generated ADA.   Do not use entry dates prior to when the student generated ADA or days that are not in session.

The code identifying the reason the student exited the enrollment

Notes:

  • All exit codes must be first be set up while logged into the district. See District Setup for more information.
  • An exit code is required if the student is transferred out of the school. Navigate to Student Selection > Functions > Transfer Out Of School to transfer a student out.
  • For concurrent enrollments, the exit code is E170 per CALPADS requirements.

Required for CALPADS when the student ends the enrollment.

Full-Time Equivalency

The student full-time equivalency (FTE) value.

FTE is a grouping that associates a student's school enrollment with a set of attendance conversion values. When ADA runs for a student, it runs for each school enrollment during the report dates. When processing each school enrollment, it uses the student's FTE to locate the set of attendance conversions to use when looking up the attendance value for the day.

Note: There must be a grade level  for both the current and previous enrollment. For school year 23-24 or higher, grade level mapped to LTK will be displayed.

School Entry Date

The start date from which the student has been continuously enrolled in the school, and has not been removed from the school’s enrollment for any reason. CDE refers to this as the School Start Date. This date is used for the student start date when reporting enrollments to CALPADS.

Important: The School Entry Date must be populated on the current enrollment and all prior enrollments.

The School Entry Date can also be populated on the Modify Info page.

California School Entry Date

If this is the student's first time enrollment in a California school, indicates the students first date of entry. This date is used to evaluate the Varicella immunization requirement:

  • If this field is blank, only 1 Varicella dose is required for age 13-17
  • If this field is populated, and the student's age at entry date is 13-17, 2 Varicella doses are required
  • If this field is populated, and the student's age at entry is 7-12,  1 dose is required.

Enrollment Status Code

The student's enrollment status.

Valid values:

  • (10) Primary Enrollment
  • (20) Secondary Enrollment
  • (30) Short Term Enrollment
  • (40) Receiving Specialized Services Only
  • (50) Non-ADA Enrollment Status

This field defaults to (10) Primary Enrollment.

Note: If the primary school of enrollment is on this PowerSchool server, choose primary and use the concurrent enrollments page to indicate any supplemental enrollments within your LEA.

Indicates whether the student's CA grade has been overridden

Valid values:

  • Does Not Apply (the student's existing grade level is used)
  • (IN) Infant
  • (TD) Toddlers
  • (PS) Prekindergarten
  • (AD) Adult
  • (12) Grade 12 Equivalent

Note: You can create and edit Work-Based Learning Records for any student whose California Grade Level Override is set to a value of: “Grade 12 equivalent”.

The school of attendance NPS, a unique identifier school code for the certified non-public and non-sectarian school that the student attends. The seven-digit school (S) code must be submitted.

This field can also be populated on the CALPADS Student Information page.

Required for CALPADS if the School of Attendance is 0000001.

The student's school completion status.

Note: This field should be populated for students completers prior to running the End of Year process.  Please see the article on PowerSchool Community.

Expected Receiver School of Attendance

The 7-digit school code for the expected receiver school of attendance.

Required for CALPADS if the Student Exit Reason Code is T165 (TransEnrollDiscip) or if school type is an Alternative School with and Exit Reason Code of T160.

One of the following messages appears if the student satisfied the requirements for each UC/CSU subject area:

Note: This field can be automatically populated based on the UC/CSU Qualifications report. If the student was not included in the report, or if the report is not used to update this field, the field displays Not Set.

Golden State Seal Merit Diploma Indicator

Choose (Y) Yes or (N) No to indicate whether this student has received the Golden State Seal Merit Diploma.

A graduating high school student earns a Golden State Seal Merit Diploma by completing all requirements for a regular diploma, and by demonstrating mastery of the curriculum in at least six subject matter areas, four of which were mathematics, English language arts, science, and United States history, with the remaining two subject matter areas selected by the student.

Extracted only if the Student School Completion Status is 100 (Graduated).

Student Seal of Biliteracy Indicator

Choose (Y) Yes or (N) No to indicate whether this student has received the State Seal of Biliteracy.

A graduating high school student earns the Seal of Biliteracy by attaining a high level of proficiency in one or more languages (including American Sign Language), in addition to English, and has earned the State Seal of Biliteracy.
