High School Data Collection Updates

High School Status Data Collection Version: 1.5

The following report updates are made:

• The new data elements (Items 87-92) are added to the report per MSDE.

• MCA Graduation Requirement for Math, English, Science, Government (Items 36-39) report as ‘14’ when an assessment has been completed and the override is blank.

• Rigorous HS Indicator - GPA (Item 64) calculates the unweighted GPA when the GPA Calculation Method for ‘Grade 12 and Cumulative GPA’ are defined in District Management > Compliance > High School Assessment Setup. This data element is identified as the 'GPA Greater than 3.0’ field on the student compliance HSC Data page.

The student compliance MHSA/CCR (MCA/CCR) page is updated as follows:

• All references to MHSA are changed to MCA per MSDE.

• The following data elements are added to the page:

  • The Meets CCR Standard is calculated and identified in the CCR Review section.

  • The Academic Success is calculated and an override is added to the CCR Review section.

• The Math section is updated as follows:

  • CCR Math Mastery - ALG1 Proficiency field is added and can be calculated or overwritten.

  • The CCR Math Mastery - Course Grade Algebra 1 field is added and can be calculated using the highest Algebra I grade or overwritten.

• The English/Language Arts (ELA) section is updated as follows:

  • CCR ELA10 Proficiency field is added and can be calculated or overwritten.

• The calculation for the four MCA Graduation Requirements (Math, ELA, Science, Government) are updated to calculate to ‘14’.

The ‘GPA Greater than 3.0’ on the student compliance HSC Data page is updated to calculate the value based on the unweighted GPA when the GPA Calculation Method for 'Grade 12 and Cumulative GPA’ is defined in District Management > Compliance > High School Assessment Setup. The value has an override option. This field identifies the Rigorous HS Indicator - GPA data element.
