Incident Management Query

Introduction

This report generates a report that queries the Incident Management tables for the Discipline data entered for the students. You can use this report to verify the entered Discipline data and if something is not getting published the records can be checked against the defined publishing logic. The publishing logic for the Discipline data can be found in https://ps-compliance.powerschool-docs.com/pssis-in/latest/students-discipline-data-collection-and-publishing.

Selection Criteria

  • The student must not be excluded from the state reporting.

  • The school in which the student is enrolled or the discipline record is associated must not be excluded from the State Reporting.

Field

Description

Select Schools

Select one ore more school.

Students to Include

Choose one of the following from the pop-up menu:

  • The selected x students only – Run the report for students in the current selection.

  • All Students (default) – Run the report for all students in the current school or district that meet the selection criteria.

Note: If running the report for a single student, or group of students, select the students prior to runningreport.

Incident Start Date

Select to include the incidents recorded from this date.

Incident End Date

Select to include the incidents recorded until this date.

Incident Type

Select type of incident for the report:

  • Teacher Referral

  • State Reportable

  • Non-State Reportable

Action Code

Choose to list specific action codes associated with the incident. All action codes are selected by default.

Output Type

Select CSV or TXT format.

Include the dobule quotes (“ “)

Choose Yes to enclose each report output value within double quotation marks. No is selected by default.

Each of the fields displayed in the output of the report is described. Refer to Understanding the Report Output Table for a definition of each column in the table.

The ID number assigned to the incident when it is created.

Incident School

The school number where the incident occured.

Incident Type

Identifies the type of incident.

Incident Title

Identifies the title of the incident.

Incident Date

Date the incident occurred.

[Incident_Detail]Incident_TS truncated to display only the date.

Incident Description

The description of the incident.

STN (State_StudentNumber)

The student’s state identification number. This is only populated when the participant is a student.

Student Number

The student number .

Student Name

The students name in the last, first, and middle name format.

Grade Level

The student’s grade level.

Identifies the School Number for the student’s enrollment.

Behavior

Indicates whether this was the primary behavior for the incident.

Criminal Gang Event

Indicates whether the Investigation Disposed Internally or Referred to Local Law Enforcement.

Responsible School Number

The Responsible School Organization ID associated with the SEORA Records

Responsible Edu Org ID

Action Code

Action Code identifying the consequences taken for the incident.

Action Service

The action service code for the discipline incident

[Incident_Action]Action_Incident_Detail_ID

[Incident_Detail]LU_Sub_Code_ID – Associates an action subcode to the incident.

Action Taken Detail

The details recorded about the incident.

[Incident_Action]Action_Resolved_Desc

Discipline Date

The start date of the action plan.

[Incident_Action]action_plan_begin_dt

Assigned Duration

The assigned length of the disciplinary action.

Actual Duration

The actual time served for the action taken.

[Incident_Action]Duration Actual

Student Arrest

The required Student Arrest Code.
Valid Values:
(1) ON School Campus
(2) OFF School Campus

[Incident_Action_Attribute]

Student Arrest Reason

The arrest reason.

Indicates whether Interim Alternative Education
