CA Period Attendance Verification

Contents

Introduction

The Period Attendance Verification report returns students marked present for a specified number of periods. Using the meeting attendance mode, the report returns the number of students who are present N or less Periods in a Day.

In other words, a student must have at least one absent record on each day in the date range selected to be considered in this report.
For example, if two periods were entered at report runtime, the student must be present two or fewer periods or intervals in a particular day to be included in the report. The students are grouped by section with one section listed per page. Each page contains a list of the students and the dates on which they were present in the section.

Selection Criteria

Selection criteria determine which database records are used in the report.

Student Selection

The report selects records from the [Students] and [ReEnrollments] table based on the following criteria:

  • The student's school enrollment Entry Date must occur on or before the report end date.
  • The student's school enrollment Exit Date must occur after the report start date.
  • The student's school enrollment Exit Date must occur after the school enrollment Entry Date.
  • Students Ever Enrolled in Section: The student must have been enrolled in the section at some point during the term dates associated with the section, but may no longer be enrolled in the section.
  • Students Current Enrolled in Section:
    • The student's entry date in the section must occur on or before the report end date.
    • The student's exit date from the section must occur after the report start date.
  • The student must be enrolled in a grade level selected at report runtime.
  • The student must have one or more absent attendance records for the day in order for the report to consider the student and their attendance records for that day.
  • The student must be present for the specified number of periods, or fewer, for the day in order for the report to consider the student and their attendance records for that day.
  • The student must be enrolled in the section during the report date range.
