WA P-223 Validation

Introduction

This report provides validation for the WA P-223 Form and Audit. It outputs a zip file containing the P-223 Audit, the P-223 Form, and the P-223 Validation.

Selection Criteria

Selection criteria determine which database records are used in the report. Refer to selection criteria for analysis of report results when the report does not return the correct records.

The Validation outputs student records based on the following criteria:

The student causes a data error that causes the report to fail. The specific error is listed in the validation file.
The student is listed more than once in the Audit file. This does not cause the report to fail, but the student is incorrectly counted more than once in the P-223 headcount and FTE.
The student causes a data error when courses are selected that causes the report to fail. The specific error is listed in the validation file.

Field	Description
Select Schools	If run at the district level, choose one of the following: Select Multiple Schools – Select schools to include in the report. To select a single school, click that school. To select multiple schools, use Ctrl+Click and select each school to be included. All Schools – Run the report for the entire district. If run at the school level, the report includes all records associated with the current school that meet the selection criteria. To change the current school, click School at the top of the page and choose the appropriate school from the list.
Students to Include	Indicate which students to include in the report by selecting one of the following options: The Selected [number] Students Only – Run the report for students in the current selection. All Students – Run the report for all students in the current school or district that meet the selection criteria. Note: If running the report for a single student, or group of students, select the students prior to running report.
Report Date (MM/DD/YY)	Enter the date to use as the report Count Date.
FTE Calculation Date	If the FTE Calculation Window is set to 1 Day, enter the date to use for determining student FTE values. Note: If blank and FTE Calculation Window is set to 1 Day, the Report Date will be used for determining student FTE values.
Student's Resident District	Choose the district of residence from the popup menu. Districts may be entered on the Start Page > District Setup > Districts of Residence page. Note: This field has no effect on the student selected within the report.
Type of audit to include	Select the Long audit or Short audit.
Scheduling – Run Now	Select Run Now to run the report upon Submit.
Scheduling – Schedule	Click the Schedule button to schedule this report to run at a specified date and time or schedule cycle options.

Report Output

The report produces a zip folder containing three files: the P-223 Audit .CSV file, the P-223 PDF Form, and the P-223 Validation .CSV file. The Audit and PDF Form match the output of the WA P-223 Form and Audit report. Please refer to the Report Output section of that report for information on the Audit and PDF Form. Refer to the table below for information on the P-223 Validation.

Each of the fields displayed in the output of the report is described below. See Understanding the Report Output Table for a definition of each column in the table.
