Student Setup

Introduction

The following data elements are required for state reporting.

To perform student-specific tasks:

  • To add a new student, on the Start Page, in the left panel, click Enroll New Student. The Enroll New Student page appears.

OR

  • To open an existing student record, on the Start Page search for the student. If the search results show multiple students, under Current Student Selection, click the student's name. The last accessed student page opens for the student selected.

Note: The following information describes the setup required for State Reporting. For information about general student setup, see Help > System Help.

Private School Student?

Choose the Private School Student type from the pop-up menu based on whether the student is enrolled in an approved private school and attending class part-time.

If Element I06 - Attribute or Program Code = 19, then I10 will have the following additional option:

  • '8 - Meal Application Foster Child – Free'.

If Element I06 - Attribute or Program Code = 40, Element I10 is updated to be a drop-down with the values mentioned in Appendix R of the CEDARS Data Manual Appendices document for valid values. The page also includes a note stating that 'If you know the program code, type in the value.'

If element I06, Program Code, is set to “36 – Student Identified With a Disability”, the user page will change and Qualification Code will be relabeled “Disability Code” with a pop-up menu of values from CEDARS Appendix I.
