SC42 Truancy District Detail Report

Introduction
The SC42 Truancy District Detail Report provides data at the district level on students who meet truancy criteria. This report Extracts students who reached a new truancy threshold (every fifth unexcused absence, along with the twelfth) since the last run of the report (previous date run).
Section Criteria
Selection criteria determine which database records are used in the report. Refer to the selection criteria for analysis when the report does not return the correct records.
Student Selection
The Truancy Update Process must be run prior to running the report.
- The student must not be excluded from state reporting.
- The student must be between the ages of 6 years to 16 years and 11 months.

Field | Description |
Select Schools | This report can only be run from the District level. All Schools is the default. |

Report Output
Each of the fields displayed in the output of the report is described below. See Understanding the Report Output Table for a definition of each column in the table.
The report sorts truancy data into the following categories:
- Truant (3 Consecutive Full Day Unexcused Absences)
- Truant (5 Non-Consecutive Full Day Unexcused Absences)
- Habitually Truant (7 Non-Consecutive Full Day Unexcused Absences)
- 10 or More Non-Consecutive Full Day Unexcused Absences
Note: Students below the age of 12 are only reported in the Truant (3 Consecutive Full Day Unexcused Absences) or Truant (5 Non-Consecutive Full Day Unexcused Absences) categories. If a student under the age of 12 continues to accumulate absences, their total number of absences are reported in the Truant (5 Non-Consecutive Full Day Unexcused Absences) category.
