Introduction
This template describes the primary details of students' participation in special education in the current school year. Only students in school age programs K4 – 12 who have a valid IEP on 12/1 should be included in the December submission. The July submission should include all special education students 14 years of age or older as of July 1 of the current school year or any student who has a transition plan as part of their IEP.
Selection Criteria
Selection criteria determines which database records are used in the report. Refer to selection criteria for analysis when the report does not return the correct records.
Students must be enrolled into a program that has been designated as "Qualifies as a special education program." See District Setup > Special Programs > Special Program Information.
Students must have an Entry Date in the [SpEnrollments]Enter_Date field. This is the core field the > New/Edit Special Programs Enrollment page.
Includes all Special Education students 14 years of age or older as of July 1 of the current school year or any student who has a transition plan as part of their IEP.
The date entered in the "Submission Date (Field #35)" on the report submission page is used to populate the correct "snapshot date" designated each year by PDE.

Students to Include* | Choose the students to include in the report by selecting one of the following options:
If running the report for a single student, or group of students, select the students prior to running the report. For December 1 Reporting Period: Student must be in a school age program K4-12 and have a valid IEP on 12/1. For July 1 Reporting Period: Student must be a Special Ed student and 14 yrs of age or older as of July 1 of the current school year or any student who has a transition plan as part of their IEP. |
Select School Year* | Select a school year from the pop-up menu. |
Submission Date (Field #35)* | Enter a submission date. This field is used to populate the correct "snapshot date" designated each year by PDE. |
Field Delimiter | Select a field delimeter for the extract file from the pop-up menu. |
Include Header Labels in output file? | Choose Yes or No to indicate whether to include column headings in the extract file. Including column headers provides a heading for each type of data extracted in the report. |
Reporting Period | Choose July 1 or December 1. If you choose December 1, then the Report Start Date and Report End Date must be entered. |
Scheduling | Select when to run the report.

Use School Building Override Field for Location Code | Select to print the School Building Override number as the student's Location Code. |
