Report Description

This report summarizes attendance hours for all students enrolled in the current school during the report date range, broken down by grade level and residency status. Total hours attended, total hours absent and attendance percentage is provided for each residency status and total by grade level and school. This report can only be run at the School level.

Students who do not have a Residency Status assigned will be included in the Resident II total.

Selection Criteria

Selection criteria determine which database records are used in the report. Refer to selection criteria for analysis when the report does not return the correct records.

Student Selection

The report selects records from the [Students]and [ReEnrollments] tables based on the following criteria:

The student’s school must not be excluded from state reporting.
The student’s school exit date must occur on or after the report start date.
The student’s school entry date must occur on or before the report end date.

Field	Description
Use	If run at the district level, choose one of the following from the pop-up menu: Default – District Wide. Includes all records on the PowerSchool server that meet selection criteria. Current School Only – Includes all records associated with the current school that meet the selection criteria. District Wide – Includes all records on the PowerSchool server that meet the selection criteria. If run at the school level, the report includes all records associated with the current school that meet the selection criteria. To change the current school, click School at the top of the page and choose the appropriate school from the list.
Students to Include	Indicate which students to include in the report by selecting one of the following options: The selected [number] students only – Run the report for students in the current selection. All students – Run the report for all students in the current school that meet the selection criteria. Note: If running the report for a single student, or group of students, select the students prior to running report.
Begin Date and Ending Date	Enter the beginning and ending date for the report date range.
Include Virtual Attendance?	Select No to run the report without including virtual attendance calculations. Select Yes to include virtual attendance calculations, including the capping of attendance for virtual attendance students, where applicable.

Note: Attendance capping is now invoked only for students taking virtual classes.

Grade	The grade level for which attendance is calculated. The report includes one line for each grade level from the selection of students or all students enrolled during the report date range. The report includes kindergarten rows if there are students with grade level 0 and one of the following values is selected for Kindergarten Enrollment on the Edit Current/Previous Enrollment page: If Full-Day Kindergarten is chosen, then the report includes a line for Grade K. If AM Kindergarten is chosen, then the report includes a line for Grade KA. If PM Kindergarten is chosen then the report includes a line for Grade KP. Total Hours Attended	The total number of regular hours attended for students by grade level and school, rounded to four decimals, reported in the format 0000.0000. Total Virtual Hours Attended	The total number of virtual attendance hours for the student is calculated based on the Course Completion Status: If the student has completed the course then 94% or 95% virtual attendance is awarded. 95% attendance is awarded when the student is participating in an A+ program (Y) or the student has completed the A+ program (C) and the program code is 50 or 52. If the student partially completed the course then 47% virtual attendance is awarded. If the student course is incomplete then no virtual hours are awarded. If the student's Course Completion Status is blank then the following calculation applies: If the student was enrolled on the section midpoint date, the student will receive the 47% Virtual Award as entered in PowerSchool. If the student was enrolled on the last day of the term for the school where the section is created, the student receives a 47% Virtual Award as entered. If the student was enrolled on both the Mid-point and the last day of the term, the student receives both awards, totaling 94% for the class (47% + 47% = 94%). Total Hours Absence	The total number of hours absent for all students by grade level and school.
