Launch Georgia LDS in the PowerTeacher Portal
Introduction
Use this procedure to launch Georgia LDS in the PowerTeacher portal.
Note: To launch Georgia LDS as a different staff member, you must log out of Georgia LDS and sign out of the PowerTeacher portal, and then sign back in to the PowerTeacher portal with different credentials and then launch Georgia LDS again.
How to Launch Georgia LDS in the PowerTeacher Portal (Single Role)
1. Sign in to the PowerTeacher portal.
Note: If you are prompted to change your password after signing in, sign out and sign back in again before clicking the Georgia LDS link.
2. On the start page, click Georgia LDS in the navigation menu. Georgia LDS launches in a separate window (or tab depending on your browser settings). The homepage for the staff member page appears.
Note: The window that appears is not served by PowerSchool. It is rendered from a separate Georgia LDS server. For detailed information, see Georgia LDS documentation. If the window does not launch, contact your school's PowerSchool administrator.
Note: If you are not actively working in the PowerTeacher portal, your PowerTeacher session may timeout. If so, you need to sign in again.
3. When you are finished working in Georgia LDS, be sure to sign out of Georgia LDS.
4. When you are finished working in the PowerTeacher portal, be sure to sign out of the PowerTeacher portal.
How to Launch Georgia LDS in the PowerTeacher Portal (Multiple Roles)
1. Sign in to the PowerTeacher portal.
Note: If you are prompted to change your password after signing in, sign out and sign back in again before clicking the Georgia LDS link.
2. On the start page, click Georgia LDS in the navigation menu. The Single Sign-On to External System pop-up appears.
3. Choose the role you want to use to launch Georgia LDS from the Role pop-up menu.
4. Click Submit. Georgia LDS launches in a separate window (or tab depending on your browser settings). The homepage for the staff member page appears.
Note: The window that appears is not served by PowerSchool. It is rendered from a separate Georgia LDS server. For detailed information, see Georgia LDS documentation. If the window does not launch, contact your school's PowerSchool administrator.
