Import Student Test Scores (SBAC/ELPAC)
As a state reporting admin in California, you can upload the file from TOMS (Test Operations Management System) for importing students' SBAC/ELPAC test scores. The import incorporates all 292 columns of the result file as published by the state. The order of fields in the file to be imported should match the format in the Import Student SBAC test scores page. Once you go to the SBAC Import page, you can import records into PowerSchool in .txt format.
Before importing SBAC test scores:
Make sure you are in California State Reporting section.
Obtain the downloaded information from TOMS.
Navigation: Data and Reporting > Imports > SBAC/ELPAC Import
Note: The successfully imported records will be displayed on the “Students, Test Results” page under the SBAC Test Scores Section.
Importing SBAC Test Scores
To import SBAC/ELPAC test scores:
Select Import Test Type
SBAC
ELPAC
Select the assessment Term.
If you are viewing the page at the district level, it will display the district terms. If you are at the school level, it will list the school terms.
File to Import: Select Choose file to import the .txt file that you have edited, and then click Import. The SBAC/ELPAC entries are successfully added.
Upload the extracted csv from TOMS.
From the Students > copy the SSID (State-wide student Identifier) of the student for whom you want to import the SBAC /ELPAC test scores and paste it under SSID number in the file.
Note:
If you have uploaded the SBAC test scores, a separate test score record will be created for the students. The test score name and description will be automatically determined based on the following record type:
Smarter Balanced Summative for English Language Arts/Literacy (ELA) (01)
Smarter Balanced Summative for Mathematics (02)
CAA for ELA (03)
CAA for Mathematics (04)
CAA for Science (05) — Available for the first time in fall 2022.

Viewing the added SBAC Records
To view SBAC test scores:
Go to Student Selection > Academics > Test Results.
Click the (SBAC/ELPAC) to view the added records.
If you wish to update the added records, you need to update them manually.
