Calendar Terms
This category represents information about sessions, grading periods, tracks, and calendar dates. The Organization Calendars category includes the following data views and resources:
In the Arizona Ed-Fi implementation, where multiple schools in PowerSchool use a single Arizona Entity ID:
- Calendar data from the associated schools will be combined for publication via Ed-Fi.
- The published values will be the earliest BeginDate, the latest EndDate, and the greatest value for TotalInstructionalDays among those schools.
Sessions (Terms)
This category/view captures a detailed list of the Sessions (Terms) successfully published to AzEDS in the Session entity within the Education Organization Calendar category. Ed-Fi sessions are the equivalent of PowerSchool terms. The layout provides the School Name, Override School (if applicable), Year, Name of Term, First Day of Term, Last Day of Term, Last Publish Date, and the Publishing ID.

This resource represents the prescribed span of time when an education institution is open, instruction is provided, and students are under the direction and guidance of teachers and/or education institution administration. A session may be interrupted by one or more vacations.

Selection Criteria
Records are published if the following criteria are met:
- The school must not be excluded from state reporting.
- The term or term portion exists within the year for the Term selected in the PowerSchool UI.
Entity Output
- A separate Session record is published for each unique term record at each school based on [Terms]Portion and [Terms]Abbreviation.
- For tuitioned-out schools, a separate session record will publish for each unique School Entity ID override entered at a valid student school enrollment for the publishing year.
- The gradingPeriodReference complex type includes a reference to each unique grading period associated with the session (refer to the gradingPeriods resource for additional information).
- JTED sessions publish when student attendance is published and a JTED attendance record exists.
- LEAs and Schools may upload (publish) data to the ODS in real time or on demand ("Run Now" button).

Grading Periods
This view captures the grading periods defined at each school within the district as published in the gradingPeriod resource within the Organization Calendars category. The layout provides the School Name, Override School (if applicable), Name of Term, First Day of Term, Last Day of Term, Last Publish Date, and the Publishing ID.

Selection Criteria
Records are published if the following criteria are met:
- The school must not be excluded from state reporting.
- The term or term portion associated with the grading period exists within the year for the Term selected in the PowerSchool UI.
Resource Output
- The gradingPeriods resource is dependent on the prior publishing of the following resources: calendarDate.
- JTED gradingPeriods publish when student attendance is published and a JTED attendance record exists.
- A separate grading period record is published for each unique term at each school.
- LEAs and Schools may upload (publish) data to the Ed-Fi ODS in real time or on-demand (“Run Now” button).

Tracks
This view captures a detailed list of Tracks successfully published to AzEDS. The layout provides the School Name, Override School (if applicable), LEA Entity ID, School Entity ID, Track Number, Begin Date, End Date, Number of Instructional Days in a Week, Total Instructional Days, Last Publish Date, and the Publishing ID.

Selection Criteria
Records are published if the following criteria are met:
- The school must not be excluded from state reporting.
- The term or term portion exists within the year for the Term selected in the PowerSchool UI.
Entity Output
- A track is published for each school state calendar mapping record created.
- If the track is for a tuitioned-out school with Entity ID of '00000', a track is published for each unique School Entity ID override where the tuitioned-out enrollment PowerSchool track is mapped to a State Number in the school state calendar mapping.
- If there is a valid JTED enrollment for the year, a track is published for each track created at the school for each JTED School Entity ID where the JTED enrollment PowerSchool track is mapped to a State Number in the school state calendar mapping.
- LEAs and Schools may upload (publish) data to the ODS in real time or on demand ("Run Now" button).

Calendar Date Track Events
This view captures a detailed list of Calendar Date Track Events successfully published to AzEDS. The layout provides the School Name, Override School (if applicable), LEA Entity ID, School Entity ID, Track Number, Event Date, Event Duration, Event Descriptor, Last Publish Date, and the Publishing ID.

Selection Criteria
Records are published if the following criteria are met:
- The school must not be excluded from state reporting.
Entity Output
- A record is published for every day between the first day and last day of the term for each School State Calendar Mapping record created.
- If the track is for a tuitioned-out school with Entity ID of '00000', a track is published for every day between the first day and last day of the term for each unique School Entity ID override where the tuitioned-out enrollment PowerSchool track is mapped to a state number in the school state calendar mapping.
- If there is a valid JTED enrollment for the year, a record is published for every day between the first day and last day of the term for each JTED School Entity ID where the JTED enrollment PowerSchool track is mapped to a State Number in the school state calendar mapping.
- The calendarDateTrackEvents resource is dependent on the prior publishing of the following resources: tracks.
