WA Learning Assistance Program Report

Introduction

The Student Growth File (formally know as the Learning Assistance Program) report (1094E) is used to gather student program participation, specifically those programs associated with Student Growth File (SGF). The SGF report uses the State Reporting Platform (SRP) which optimizes the performance of the report.

The report counts those students who attended at any time during the selected academic year and participated in one of the SGF programs selected from the Program Code field on the Special Programs Enrollments page:

  • Reading (4)
  • Language Arts (5)
  • Math (6)
  • Readiness (7)
  • Graduation Assistance (11)

This report can be used to identify the number of students participating in a SGF program sorted by the following:

  • Grade
  • Federal Ethnicity/Race
  • Gender
  • Program by School

This report may be run at the school or district level and may take several hours to run depending on the size of your school or district.

Running the SGF report will generate the output files, which are in a zip format: WA_Learning_Assistance_Program_Report.zip. When unzipped, there are two files:

  • LAP_Audit. This is the CSV file listing of each student included in the report and their associated information.
  • LAP_Basic. This is the PDF file displaying the program participation totals by school.

PS_Enrollment_All - This view provides Current Enrollment, Previous Enrollment, and Special Program Enrollment information.

Selection Criteria

Selection criteria determine which database records are used in the report. Refer to selection criteria for analysis of report results when the report does not return the correct records.

Student Selection

The report selects school records from the [Schools] and [Students] table based on the following criteria:

  • The student must not be excluded from state reporting.
  • The student must be enrolled in a Learning Assistance Program (Codes 4, 5, 6, 7 or 11).
  • The student's school Entry Date and the student's Program Start Date must both occur on or before the report end date.
  • The student's school Exit Date and the student's Program End Date must both occur on or after the report start date.
