The following table provides information about the implementation of the skip-level logic for some of the elements in the CRDC Report 2023-2024.

Skip-Level Logic Updates based on SCHR-2

The skip-level logic has been implemented for the below-mentioned scenarios based on SCHR-2:

Schools that answer “Yes” for SCHR-2. Justice Facility Indicator, all of the below-mentioned elements related to Justice Facility will be skipped:

Elements in the below-mentioned modules that are meant for the Justice Facility:

  • PSCH: Preschool

  • APIB: Advanced Placement (AP) & International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IB) Enrollment

  • SECR: School Security Staff

  • ATHL: Interscholastic Athletics

  • ARRS: Student Discipline (Referrals to Law Enforcement & School-Related Arrests)

Elements in the below-mentioned tables that are meant for the Justice Facility:

  • DISC-1a: Preschool English Learner Indicator

  • DISC-1b: Preschool English Learner Identification Indicator

  • DISC-1c: Preschool Section 504 Indicator

Schools that answer “No” for SCHR-2. Justice Facility Indicator, all of the below-mentioned elements related to Justice Facility will be skipped:

  • JUST-1: Justice Facility Type

  • JUST-2: Days in Regular School Year at Justice Facility

  • JUST-3: Justice Facility Educational Program Hours per Week

  • JUST-4: Justice Facility Educational Program Participants

Skip-Level Logic Updates based on SCHR-3

For Grades marked as No in SCHR-3, we are now skipping the values for the respective grade levels in RETN-1 and RETN-2.

Skip-Level Logic Updates based on SCHR-5 and NBIN

The skip-level logic has been implemented for the below-mentioned scenarios based on SCHR-5 and NBIN:

  • Is this school either a magnet school or a school operating a magnet program within the school? If the value is set to No the SCHR-6 will be skipped.

  • Is this school an alternative school? If the value is set to No the SCHR-7 will be skipped.

For NBIN-1:

  • Schools that answer “No” for NBIN-1. Nonbinary Student Indicator, skip all nonbinary student items in the following modules:

    • ENRL: Enrollment

    • PENR: Program Enrollment

    • COUR: Courses & Classes

    • APIB: Advanced Placement & International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme Enrollment

    • EXAM: SAT/ACT

    • RETN: Retention

    • ATHL: Interscholastic Athletics

    • DISC: Student Discipline

    • ARRS: Referrals to Law Enforcement & School-related Arrests

    • HIBS: Harassment or Bullying

    • RSTR: Restraint & Seclusion

Skip-Level Logic Updates based on HIBD, NBIN, DSED, and HSEE elements

The skip-level logic has been implemented for the below-mentioned scenarios based on HIBD, NBIN, DSED, and HSEE elements:

Harassment & Bullying:

If HIBD-1: Harassment or Bullying Policy Indicator = “No”, skip the following:

  • HIBD-2: Harassment or Bullying Policy Web Link Indicator

  • HIBD-3: Harassment or Bullying Policy Web Link

  • HIBD-4: Harassment or Bullying Policy Indicator (Other)

  • HIBD-5: Harassment or Bullying Policy Web Link Indicator (Other)

  • HIBD-6: Harassment or Bullying Policy Web Link (Other)

If HIBD-4: Harassment or Bullying Policy Indicator (Other) = “No” skip the following:

  • HIBD-5: Harassment or Bullying Policy Web Link Indicator (Other)

  • HIBD-6: Harassment or Bullying Policy Web Link (Other)

NBIN: Nonbinary Student Indicator (LEA Level):

  • LEAs that answer “No” for NBIN-1. Nonbinary Student Indicator skip all nonbinary student items in the DSED and HISEE modules.

DSED: Distance Education:

  • If DSED-1: Distance Education Enrollment Indicator = “No”, we will skip DSED-2: Distance Education Enrollment.

HSEE: High School Equivalency Exam:

  • If HSEE-1: High School Equivalency Exam Preparation Program Provided by the LEA Indicator = “No”, we will skip HSEE-2: High School Equivalency Exam Preparation Program Student Participation

Skip-Level Logic Updates based on Ungraded and 9 - 12 Graders

The skip-level logic has been implemented for the below-mentioned scenarios based on Ungraded and 9-12 Graders:

If Grades 9-10 = “No” but Grades 11 or 12 = “Yes” skip the following:

  • Tables Only

    • COUR: Classes and Courses

      • COUR-8a: High School Student Enrollment in Algebra I - Grades 9 and 10

      • COUR-8b: High School Students who Passed Algebra I - Grades 9 and 10

    • RETN: Retention:

      • RETN-2 GR9: Retention of Students in Grade 9

      • RETN-2 GR10: Retention of Students in Grade 10

If Grades 11-12 = “No” but Grades 9 or 10 = “Yes” skip the following:

  • Tables Only

    • COUR: Classes and Courses

      • COUR-9a: High School Student Enrollment in Algebra I - Grades 11 and 12

The skip-level logic has been implemented for the below-mentioned scenarios based on 7 and 8 Graders:

  • If both Grades 7 – 8 = “No” skip the following:

      • COUR-2: Grade 7 Algebra I Enrollment Indicator

      • COUR-5: Grade 8 Geometry Enrollment Indicator

      • COUR-6: Student Enrollment in Geometry in Grade 8

    • RETN: Retention:

      • RETN-2 GR7: Retention of Students in Grade 7

      • RETN-2 GR8: Retention of Students in Grade 8

  • If Grades 7 = “No”, but grade 8 = “Yes” skip the following:

Skip-Level Logic Updates based on SSPR elements

The skip-level Logic has been implemented for the below-mentioned scenarios based on SSPR elements:

  • If SSPR-4: Early Childhood Program Indicator = “No”, then we will skip SSPR-5: Early Childhood Program for Non-IDEA Children

  • If SSPR-6: Preschool Program Provided by the LEA Indicator = “No” skip the following:

    • SSPR-7: Preschool Daily Length and Cost

    • SSPR-8: Preschool Eligibility - All Children

    • SSPR-9: Preschool Eligibility - Children Groups

    • SSPR-10: Preschool Children Served

    • SSPR-11: Preschool Age for Non-IDEA Children

  • If SSPR-12: Kindergarten Program Indicator = “No”, then we will skip SSPR-13: Kindergarten Daily Length and Cost.

Skip-Level Logic Updates based on the values entered in DIND elements

The skip-level logic has been implemented for the below-mentioned elements based on selected values in DIND-1 and DIND-2 in CSV submission files.

  • If DIND-1: Directional Indicator - Instruction Type = "A" or "D" the following tables are skipped:

    • DIND-2: Directional Indicator - Remote Instruction

    • DIND-3: COVID-related Item – Remote Instruction Amount

    • DIND-4: COVID-related Item –Remote Instruction Percentage

  • If DIND-2: Directional Indicator - Remote Instruction = “B” the following are skipped:

    • DISC: Student Discipline

      • DISC-1: Preschool Corporal Punishment Indicator

      • DISC-2: Preschool Instances of Corporal Punishment

      • DISC-3: Instances of Preschool Corporal Punishment

      • DISC-4: Preschool Corporal Punishment

      • DISC-10: Corporal Punishment Indicator

      • DISC-11: Instances of Corporal Punishment

Skip-Level Logic Updates for ENRL and PENR elements

The skip-level logic has been implemented based on the below-mentioned criteria:

ENRL Elements:

  • Overall Student Enrollment – English Learners (EL) Equals zero – Skip the following:

    • ENRL-2a: Enrollment of English Learners (EL) - All EL Students

    • ENRL-2b: Enrollment of English Learners (EL) - EL Students in Programs

  • Overall Student Enrollment - Disabilities (IDEA) Equals zero – Skip the following:

    • ENRL-3a: Enrollment of Students with Disabilities – IDEA

  • Overall Student Enrollment - Disabilities (Section 504 Only) equals zero – Skip the following:

    • ENRL-3b: Enrollment of Students with Disabilities – Section 504 Only

PENR Elements:

  • If PENR-1: Gifted and Talented Programs Indicator = “No” skip PENR-2: Gifted and Talented Student Enrollment.

  • If PENR-3: Dual Enrollment Program Indicator = “No” skip PENR-4: Student Enrollment in Dual Enrollment Programs.

  • If PENR-5: Credit Recovery Indicator = “No” skip PENR-6: Credit Recovery Enrollment.

Skip-Level Logic Updates based on Grades 9 - 12

The skip-level logic has been implemented based on the below-mentioned criteria:

*If all Grades 9 – 12 = “No” below-mentioned elements will be skipped in the submission file:*
