Introduction

This report includes a record for all teachers assigned to sections, including co-teachers with the role Reference Code set to “OR”, at the selected school or schools as of the report date. The report includes teacher, school, course, and section identifiers.

Logic for Class Instructional Hours calculation:

  • If 'Yearly Course Instructional Hours' is populated at the Course or Section, then this value is reported and not calculated using Bell Schedule Minutes or Average Daily Minutes Scheduled.
  • If the 'Course Average Daily Minutes Scheduled Field' run-time parameter is selected, then Class Instructional Hours is the 'Average Daily Minutes Scheduled' field value times the number of days the class meets in the school calendar for the year, divided by sixty (rounded).
  • If the 'Bell Schedule Minutes' run-time parameter is selected, then Class Instructional Hours is the total bell schedule minutes the class met in the school calendar for the year divided, by sixty (rounded).

Selection Criteria

Selection criteria determine which database records are used in the report. Refer to selection criteria for analysis when the report does not return the correct records.

Sections Selection

The report selects records from the [SectionTeacher] table based on the following criteria:

  • One record should be returned for each section in which a teacher is assigned, with a section teacher start date less than or equal to the report snapshot date and a section teacher end date less than the report snapshot date
  • The section must be offered at the selected school(s).
  • The course must not be excluded from state reporting.

To generate the Staff Assignment report, do the following:

Select Schools*

Choose one of the following:

  • Current School Only – Includes all student records associated with the current school that meet selection criteria. To change the current school, click the School link at the top of the page and choose the appropriate school from the list.
  • All Schools – Includes all student records on the PowerSchool server that meet selection criteria.

Note: The All Schools option is only available when running the report from the District Office.

Calculate Class Instructional Hours Using

Select to calculate instructional hours using:

  • Bell Schedule Minutes
  • Course Average Daily Minutes Scheduled Field

Destination

The report defaults to the Reporting Queue.

Scheduling

Choose a time to run the report from following options:

  • Run Now (default)
  • Schedule
