Introduction

The Pre-Kindergarten Student File generates a list of enrolled Pre-Kindergarten students during the selected date range in the consolidated student file format. It includes in the results details for Oregon Pre-Kindergarten Special Program Enrollment.

The report may be run at the district or school level.

Selection Criteria

Selection criteria determine which database records are used in the report. Refer to selection criteria for analysis when the report does not return the correct records.

Special Program Enrollment Selection

The report selects records from the [SpEnrollments] table based on the following criteria:

The Special Program Program Type must be “Oregon Pre-Kindergarten”.
The Special Program Enrollment must fall, in-whole or in-part, within the range of the Report Start Date and the Report End Date.

Student Selection

The report selects from the [Students] and [ReEnrollments] tables based on the following criteria:

The school enrollment record must occur, in-whole-or in part, within the range of the Report Start Date and the Report End Date.
The school enrollment record must have a grade level of PK (less than 0).
Only one school enrollment record will be returned per student per selected Special Program Enrollment. The most recent enrollment with a grade level of PK will be returned if there are multiple corresponding PK school enrollments within the selected date range.
The most recent PK enrollment record corresponding to the Special Program Enrollment record must be at the selected school(s).
The student's school must not be excluded from state reporting.
The student must not be excluded from state reporting.

Report Input

To generate the Pre-Kindergarten Student File, do the following:

Field	Description
Select Schools*	Choose one of the following: Current School Only – Includes all student records associated with the current school that meet selection criteria. To change the current school, click the School link at the top of the page and choose the appropriate school from the list. All Schools – Includes all student records on the PowerSchool server that meet selection criteria. Note: The All Schools option is only available when running the report from the District Office.
Students to Include*	Indicate which students to include in the report by selecting one of the following options: Use Current Selection – Run the report for students in the current selection. Don’t Use Current Selection – Run the report for all students in the current school or district that meet the selection criteria. Note: If running the report for a single student, or group of students, select the students prior to running report.
Report Start Date	The start of the date range to select special program enrollments and student enrollments.
Report End Date	The end of the date range to select special program enrollments and student enrollments.
