SHSM Student Data Report

Introduction

This report displays the totals to be entered in the ministry SHSM Student Data Report page.

Selection Criteria

Selection criteria determine which database records are used in the report. Refer to selection criteria for analysis when the report does not return the correct records.

A student is included on a Count line if the student is enrolled in a SHSM program on the corresponding specified count date.
A student is included on a Semester line if the student's diploma date falls within the date range specified.
If the report is run at the District Office, a list of all schools within PowerSchool will display in a multi-select box.
- The user may select any or all schools.
- Only schools where [Schools]Low_Grade > 8 are included.
- Only schools where [Schools]State_ExcludeFromReporting flag is off are included.
If the report is run at a specific school, only the current school will display in the multi-select box.
Only students whose primary enrolment as of the appropriate count or semester end date is at a selected school are included.

The report excludes students for which any of the following are true:

The Exclude From Provincial Reporting flag ([Students]State_ExcludeFromReporting) is on.
The attendance type (i.e. EnrollmentType field) = 'EX' for ALL enrolments (i.e. Students or ReEnrollments record) associated with, in whole or in part, all of the specified count or end dates (i.e. if there is any overlap between the enrolment start and end dates and a specified count or end date).

Field	Description
Select School*	Choose which school to run the report for. If the report is run at the school level, only the current school will be available. If no schools are selected, the report includes all schools that appear in the list.
First Count Date*	Default is October 31st of the current school year
Second Count Date*	Default is February 5th of the current school year
Third Count Date*	Default is June 1st of the current school year
Semester 1 End Date*	Default is end date of the term with the earlier start date where [Terms]Portion = 2
Semester 2 End Date*	Default is last day of school
