Monthly Days Taught (MDT)
Introduction
This file is used to submit the number of days taught per grade level for the current reporting period to MSIS. This report must be submitted to the state and approved before submitting the Monthly Student Data extract. Submit one MDT per school per reporting period. This file should be submitted first for monthly reports. Once you have a Success, you do not have to submit this file again until the next reporting period.

8 | GRADE | The grade level being analyzed for days taught. Each grade level taught at the current school during the report date range is included on a separate line. Additional records are included for each Special/Secondary Grade Code assigned to a student. The report determines the grade levels to report based on student records, not the grade level range assigned to the school. If the student’s grade level is -1 (preschool), then the student’s grade level is reported as 62. If the student’s grade level is 0 (kindergarten), then the student’s grade level is reported as 64. If the student’s grade level is neither -1 nor 0, then the student’s grade level is reported. | [Students]Grade_Level |
9 | DAYSTAUGHT | The number of days taught for the grade level during the report date range. The report runs a membership calculation (ADM) for the students enrolled in the school during the report date range. Note: The value must be less than or equal to the number of days within the reporting period. For reporting month 01, the maximum number of days is 66 and for month 09, the maximum number of days is 45. For months 2 through 8, the maximum number of days is 27. For month 10 the maximum number of days is 60. | [Students]EntryDate [Students]ExitDate |
