Introduction

This file is used to submit the number of days taught per grade level for the current reporting period to MSIS. This report must be submitted to the state and approved before submitting the Monthly Student Data extract. Submit one MDT per school per reporting period. GRADE

The grade level being analyzed for days taught. Each grade level taught at the current school during the report date range is included on a separate line. Additional records are included for each Special/Secondary Grade Code assigned to a student. The report determines the grade levels to report based on student records, not the grade level range assigned to the school.

If the student’s grade level is -1 (preschool), then the student’s grade level is reported as 62.

If the student’s grade level is 0 (kindergarten), then the student’s grade level is reported as 64.

If the student’s grade level is neither -1 nor 0, then the student’s grade level is reported.
