Educator Core Report

Report Description
The October Educator Core File requires a single record for every educator in the district and is used to report data items about each educator including: (1) personnel requiring a certificate; (2) aides/ paraprofessionals, ancillary personnel, and parent educators funded by state or federal programs or used to meet classification standards; and (3) administrators involved with instructional programs. Data include Social Security Number, name, race, sex, highest degree, years of experience, extended contract duration, career ladder, regular term salary, extended contract salary, extra duty salary, minimum salary supplement, minimum salary days worked, late hire and early termination dates, and comments.
This report can be run at the District or School level. The report will default to the District level.
Selection Criteria
Selection criteria determine which database records are used in the report. Refer to selection criteria for analysis when the report does not return the correct records.
Staff Selection
The report selects records from the [Teachers]tables based on the following criteria:
- The staff member must not be excluded from state reporting.
- The staff member’s school must not be excluded from state reporting.
- The staff member’s social security number must not be blank and must be entered exactly the same if the staff member is at multiple schools.
- The staff member’s Status on the Edit Information page must be Current (1).

Use | If run at the district level, choose one of the following from the pop-up menu:
If run at the school level, the report includes all records associated with the current school that meet the selection criteria. To change the current school, click School at the top of the page and choose the appropriate school from the list. |
Records to Include | Indicate which records to include in the report by selecting one of the following options:
Note: If running the report for a single staff member, or group of staff members, select the staff members prior to running report. |
Year | The pop-up menu defaults to the currently selected school year. To change the school year, click Term at the top of the page and choose the appropriate school year term. |
Report Validation Errors | If Yes-Report Validation Errors is selected, a Validation Report will process and include all of the errors. If No-Produce Extract File is selected, the Educator Core Extract will process. If there were errors that did not get corrected, the field with the error will not get reported. Note: It is highly recommended that the Validation Report be run prior to Producing the extract file |

Each of the fields displayed in the output of the report are described below. See Understanding the Report Output Table for a definition of each column in the table.
Note: In the Required column, a value of “C” indicates that the element is conditional – if the element applies to the particular record, then it is required.
