ASVAB Report

Report Description

The ASVAB Report is used to submit student test results for the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery assessment. This state submission is required annually in June. To be included in the report, the ASVAB test must be set up in the PowerSchool Tests component as described in the District Setup section. The Test configuration requires specific naming conventions for the Test and each Test Score item. Once the Test configuration is in place, ASVAB test score results must be entered or imported into PowerSchool Test Results. The report may be run from the district, or from an individual school. The Reporting School Code for the student’s current, active school of enrollment will be output.

Selection Criteria

Selection criteria determine which database records are used in the report. Refer to selection criteria for analysis when the report does not return the correct records.

Student Selection

The student must be actively enrolled when the report is run if the current school year has not yet ended. If the report is run after the close of the PowerSchool Term for the selected school year, students who were active on the final day of school are included.
The student must be in grades 09-12.
The student must have a Test Scores record where the Test Name is “ASVAB”, and where the Test Date falls on or between July 1 and June 30 of the selected PowerSchool Term.

Test Results

The state requires that the Test Date and Military Entrance Score be reported. Scores for the additional ASVAB subtest categories are optional, and are output if populated in the PowerSchool ASVAB Test record. If the student has multiple ASVAB Test results within the school year, the test record containing the highest Military Entrance Score is used when reporting the Test Date and the Entrance Score. Similarly, the highest scores achieved within the school year for the other ASVAB subtests are also reported if populated.

Note: In order to use the ASVAB report, Missouri districts must complete the ASVAB Test configuration in District Setup, and must enter or import student ASVAB test results. Refer to the Missouri State Reporting Guide for details on the required setup and data entry.

Field	Description
Select Schools	If run at the district level, choose one of the following: Select Multiple Schools – Select schools to include in the report. To select a single school, click that school. To select multiple schools, use Ctrl+Click and select each school to be included. All Schools – Run the report for the entire district. If run at the school level, the report includes all records associated with the current school that meet the selection criteria. To change the current school, click School at the top of the page and choose the appropriate school from the list.
Select Students*	Indicate which students to include in the report by selecting one of the following options: The selected [number] students only – Run the report for students in the current selection. All students – Run the report for all students in the current school or district that meet the selection criteria. Notes: If running the report for a single student, or group of students, select the students prior to running the report. To include test results for inactive students, ensure the option "Report Only All Students" is selected below.
Report Only All Students	When this option is selected, test results are included for both active and inactive students. The default is selected.
Scheduling	Select Run Now or Schedule If applicable, select schedule settings: Start Date Start Time Run once Repeat: Daily, Weekly, Monthly, or Yearly
