Staff/Course Section Instruction Methods Codes Setup
It is necessary to setup the following Section Instruction Methods codes. To do so, navigate to System Reports/State and select the MCCC Codes – Section Instruction Method link. Click the New button to add a new code. Use the following table for code descriptions:

Section Setup
After the Section Instruction Method codes have been defined, it is possible to assign specific MCCC details at the section level for individual courses. Note: it is not necessary to setup every section for every course. Only adjust those sections in which the default values do not pertain.
Field | Description |
|---|---|
Exclude from MCCC | Use this field identify if a section should not be included in the MCCC Staff/Course or Student/Course Extract. The section will continue to appear on the MCCC Staff/Course and Student/Course Audit Reports. |
Marking Indicator | Does the student receive a mark for the course? |
Instruction Method | Select the appropriate type of instructional method for the section. |
Instruction Language | Enter the MARSS Language Code from the dropdown list. This is used only for bilingual courses. |
Fixed Period Indicator | Does this course meet in a fixed time slot? |
Subject Area | Select the appropriate Subject code from the dropdown list. This is set only for courses that allow multiple marks. |
Minutes Per Term | If left blank the report will calculate this based on the school's bell Schedule. |
Calendar Number – Optional | If more than one MCCC Calendar is set up with the same Term ID (IE 2600), then enter the Calendar Number that corresponds to the section. |
