Student Daily Attendance Report

For each student who meets the report criteria, the Student Daily Attendance Report provides an attendance record that indicates attendance status and modality for each day of course enrollment.

The report setup must be completed prior to running the report, refer to Student Daily Attendance Setup.

Selection Criteria

Selection criteria determine which database records are used in the report. Refer to selection criteria for analysis when the report does not return the correct records.

Student Selection

Student must be enrolled in any class at least one day between the Report Start Date and the Report End Date to display on this report.
Student must not be enrolled in Special Program at another school (placement code of SS - Separate School in the Special Education Programs settings).
Student must not be excluded from state reporting.
School must not be excluded from state reporting.

School Selection

The student's school must not be excluded from state reporting.

Field	Description
Select Schools*	Indicate which schools to include in the report by selecting from the following options: If sub-districts are not enabled: Current School Only – Includes all student records associated with the current school that meet the selection criteria. To change the current school, click School at the top of the page and choose the appropriate school from the list. District Wide – Includes all student records on the PowerSchool server that meet the selection criteria. Default If sub-districts are enabled: Select Sub-district - Select the sub-district for which you want to run the report. Current School Only – Run the report for only the current selected school. Includes all student records associated with the selected schools that meet the selection criteria. All Schools in selected sub-district (default) – Run the report for all schools in the selected sub-district. Includes all student records on the PowerSchool server that meet the selection criteria.
Students to Include*	Indicate which students to include in the report by selecting one of the following options: The selected [number] students only – Run the report for students in the current selection. All students – Run the report for all students in the current school or district that meet the selection criteria. If running the report for a single student, or group of students, select the students prior to running the report.
Start Date*	Select the Start Date for the report.
End Date*	Select the End Date for the report.
Include Students Name In Output File*	Select Yes from the pop-up menu to include the names of students in the output file. Select No to exclude student names.

Report Output

Each of the fields displayed in the output of the report is described below. See Understanding the Report Output Table for a definition of each column in the table.

SAU ID	The NEO Organization ID for the attending School Administrative Unit (SAU). This is the SAU ID used for uploading the student's data to Synergy. The district number on import must match the district number tied to the student’s enrollment. School ID	NEO Organization ID for the school the student attends. The school ID must match the school number of the school in which the student is enrolled for the year. Attendance Status	The status of the reported date. Valid values: Present Excused Absence Unexcused Absence This field depends on the use of the pre-loaded Absent attendance codes for ME state reporting, UNEXABS_ME and EXCUSAB_ME. The use of local codes is not supported. If a student receives a Present code but is present for less than half of the instructional day, the student is reported as either Excused Absent or Unexcused Absent in accordance with the state guidelines.
