Selection Criteria

Selection criteria determine which database records are used in the report. Refer to selection criteria for analysis when the report does not return the correct records.

MCAP ELA-Math (PARCC) Spring Report

The MCAP ELA-Math (PARCC) Spring report selects records based on the following criteria:

  • Student cannot be excluded from state reporting
  • Student must be enrolled in a course or section that is flagged to be included in the PARCC Assessment
  • Student must be enrolled in the class on the count date specified.
  • Student cannot be excluded from PARCC Assessments on the State/Province - MD > PARCC/MISA/HS Testing Exemptions and Accommodations page.
  • Student cannot be set to omitted from specific tests on the State/Province - MD > PARCC/MISA/HS Testing Exemptions and Accommodations.

Note: Enter student's accommodations on the State/Province - MD > PARCC/MISA/HS Personal Needs Profile page.

MISA Spring Report

The MISA Spring report selects records based on the following criteria:

  • Student cannot be excluded from state reporting
  • Student must be enrolled in a course or section that is flagged to be included in MISA Spring
  • Student must be enrolled in the class on the count date specified
  • Student cannot be set to be excluded from all assessments on the State/Province - MD > PARCC/MISA/HS Testing Exemptions and Accommodations page.
  • Students cannot be identified as omitted from this assessment on the State/Province - MD > PARCC/MISA/HS Testing Exemptions and Accommodations page.

Note: Enter student's accommodations on the State/Province - MD > PARCC/MISA/HS Personal Needs Profile page.

Report Input

For help with navigation and running the report, see How to Find and Generate a Report.

This report uses the State reporting Platform to generate results. There may be some additional setup required to run this report. The additional setup required to will be to configure ReportWorks Preferences if you have not already done so.

  • If you have already configured ReportWorks Preferences, no additional setup is required.
  • If you have not configured ReportWorks Preferences, please refer to the “ReportWorks Preferences” section of the ReportWorks Setup and Administration Guide on PowerSource. This section will provide steps for configuring the scheduler node for the report queue.

Field

Description

Select Schools

If run at the district level, choose one of the following:

  • Select Multiple Schools – Select schools to include in the report. To select a single school, click that school. To select multiple schools, use Ctrl+Click and select each school to be included. Select schools to include in the report
  • All Schools – Run the report for the entire district.

If run at the school level, the report includes only records associated with the current school that meet the selection criteria. To change the current school, click School at the top of the page and choose the appropriate school from the list.

Current Selection Students

Indicate which students to include in the report by selecting one of the following options:

  • Current Selection – Run the report for students in the current selection
  • All Students – Run the report for all students in the district or current school who meet the selection criteria.

Note: If running the report for a single student, or group of students, select the students prior to running report.

Test Selection

Select either MISA Spring or MCAP ELA-Math (PARCC) Spring

All classes in session on the count date will be included.

Count Date

Select the enrollment date for the classes included.

Use Alternate School Numbers

To use alternate school numbers, select Yes.

Scheduling – Run Now

Leave Run Now selected to run the report now.

Submit

Click Submit to run the report now

Scheduling – Please Select When to run

Click Schedule to schedule this report to run nightly. Select the Weekdays only checkbox

Please Select Schedule Settings

Enter the Start Date and Start Time and select Repeat and Daily.

Please select daily repeat cycle options.

Select the Weekdays only checkbox.

Please select end date range option

Click No End date or complete the Ends On field with the day after the last day of school.

Submit

Click Submit to schedule the report.
