Introduction

This report generates the fixed length xxxxbca.asc BEF K-8 Classroom file for EIS submissions.

Selection Criteria

Only classes for the current school or district where the grade level is less than or equal to 8 and where Exclude From Provincial Reporting is set to "No", are reported. The grade level that determines inclusion is set on the Sections page.
Only classes underway on September 30 of the current school year are reported.
Each teacher associated with the class on September 30 (as indicated in the SectionTeacher tab) for which the % allocation is greater than zero is reported. This includes both the lead teacher and any co-teachers.
When a class is reported for multiple teachers, the Minutes per Cycle reported is divided by the number of reported teachers, and rounded to a whole number. This ensures that the total minutes per cycle reported for the class from all teachers does not exceed 100% of the class's minutes per cycle.
If [Sections]Grade_Level is 9 or greater, a class is excluded. If undefined, the class is included.
A record is created for each teacher associated with the class (as indicated in the SectionTeacher table) for which the % allocation is greater than zero. This includes both the lead teacher and any co-teachers.
Courses for which the "Exclude Course From EIS Reporting" flag is on are excluded from the report. The flag is set on the Edit Course District Information data entry page.

Classes

Identifies whether only French classrooms will be reported or French and/or English.

Select an option:

Include only Classes Taught in French - Only classrooms where French is taught will be reported.
Include Classes Taught in French and/or English - Report will include classrooms where French and/or English are taught

Report Output

The report output will contain one header row, followed by one information row per teacher. Each information row will be followed by one or more detail rows per teacher. A .zip file will be generated containing two files, a .xls spreadsheet that can be opened in Excel, and an .asc submission file that is to be sent to EIS.
