IL Regional Safe Schools Program (RSSP) Report

Introduction

This report generates the file format pertaining to the data submitted to ISBE SIS when submitting information for the Regional Safe Schools Program data collection.

Selection Criteria

Student Selection

The report selects which student records to use based on the following criteria:

  • Students must be enrolled within the school year as per the user-defined report date. 
  • Students must have an RSSP record added. 
  • This report only includes students who are active on the Report Snapshot Date
  • This report only includes students who are included in State Reporting.
  • This report only includes students whose enrollments are from schools which are included in State Reporting.

Description

Schools to Include

Choose one of the following:

  • Current School Only – Includes all student records associated with the current school that meet selection criteria. To change the current school, click the school link at the top of the page and choose the appropriate school from the list.
  • All Schools – Includes all student records on the PowerSchool server that meet selection criteria.

Note: The All-Schools option is only available when running the report from the District Office.

Students to Include

Indicate which students to include in the report by selecting one of the following options:

  • The selected [number] students only – Run the report for students in the current selection.
  • All students – Run the report for all students in the current school or district that meet the selection criteria.

Note: If running the report for a single student, or group of students, select the students prior to running the report.

RCDTS Number (Override)

Enter the 15-digit RCDTS (Region, Country, District, Type, and School) number.

The value entered in this field will be used in the file name and the header in the report results.

Snapshot Date

Enter the Snapshot Date.

Format: MM/DD/YYYY

01  - Alcohol (liquor law violations, possession, use, sale)
02 Disorderly conduct (disruptive behavior)
03 Drugs, excluding alcohol and tobacco (illegal drug
possession, sale, use/under the influence)
04 Fighting (mutual altercation), battery, and/or physical
altercation
05 Harassment, nonsexual (physical, verbal, or
psychological)
06 Insubordination (disobedience to school staff or school
personnel)
07 Robbery (taking of things by force) or theft
08 Threats (including school threats)
09 Vandalism (damage to school or personal property)
10 Violation of school rules (disobeying school policy)
11 Weapons possession (firearms and other weapons)
