IL Discipline Report



The IL Discipline Report extract is used to send Discipline Incident and Group Discipline Incident data to the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) (Incident Management support only).

Report Data Setup

All Student Discipline and Groups Discipline Incidents must have been recorded in Incident Management.

Selection Criteria

Selection criteria determine which database records are used in the report. Refer to selection criteria for analysis when the report does not return the correct records.

Student Selection

The report displays records from the [Students] table based on the following criteria:

  • Student has not been excluded from state reporting.
  • Student is active and has a discipline episode for the selected reporting period.

Schools to Include

Choose one of the following:

  • Current School Only – If you select this option, only the Discipline and Group Discipline records (Incident Management) from the current school are extracted as long as the school is not excluded from state reporting. To change the current school, click the School link at the top of the page and choose the appropriate school from the list.
  • All Schools – If you select this option, the Discipline and Group Discipline records (Incident Management) from all the schools in the district are extracted as long as a school is not excluded from state reporting.

The All Schools option is only available when running the report from the District Office.

Current Selection Students

To include students charged with an incident in the report, select one of the following options:

  • The Selected [Number] Students Only – Run the report for students in the current selection.
  • All students – Run the report for all students in the current school or district that meet the selection criteria.

If running the report for a single student or group of students, select the students prior to running the report.

RCDTS Number (Override)

To generate the report for a specific RCDTS school, enter the school's 15-digit RCDTS (Region, Country, District, Type, and School) number.

This is required only if the user wants to override the default value. If no override is entered, the District RCDTS number from the District Number is used.

Report Start Date

Enter the start date of the reporting period.
Report End DateEnter the end date of the reporting period.

Report Output

Each of the fields displayed in the output of the report is described below. See Understanding the Report Output Table for a definition of each column in the table.

The RCDTS number that identifies the student’s home school.

If the RCDTS Home School is blank for a student, the RCDTS Home School defined in the Edit School page is extracted.

7RCDTS Serving School

The RCDTS number that identifies the school that provides service to the student.

If the RCDTS Serving School is blank for a student, the RCDTS Home School entered on the Edit School page is used in the report.

If the RCDTS Serving school is the same as a Concurrent Enrollment School, a record is created for the RCDTS Serving School.

9Incident Date

The date on which the incident occurred.

Default value is 01, incremented by 1 for every other Incident ID.

15Disciplinary Duration

The duration of the disciplinary action in days.
