PowerSchool SSL Certificate Changes and the Impact
Refer to Single Sign-On User. This section provides the steps to set up and enable Georgia Single Sign-On functionality in order to access the Georgia Longitudinal Data System (LDS) from within the PowerSchool application.
When the local SSL certificate expires, the PowerSchool SSL information needs to be updated per the Single Sign-On User Report. Additionally, Georgia DOE needs to be notified of the SSL certificate change. Assuming the PowerSchool steps are followed correctly, if DOE does not update the district’s SSL certificate information, users will begin to get a Shibboleth error. Please contact GA DOE to confirm the SSL certificate information has been updated for the district. Ask your DOE contact to verify the information and read the configuration to you so you can check that it is correct.
