J01 - System Course

Introduction

Student Learning Objective (SLO) master course data. One record is transmitted for courses that have the same course number in the "xx.0xxx000" format with the same SLO Measure Type and SLO target values.

Note: Courses with a course number in the format xx.8xxxxxx are not included in this report.

Selection Criteria

Selection criteria determine which database records are used in the report.

Course Selection

Required: All SLO courses need to have an SLO Measure Type defined.

Required: A default target needs to be defined at the district level for each measure type used (percentage and rubric). If no default is defined, then the report will continue to output blanks for columns J108 to J124.

When a specific target is not set for an SLO course the report pulls the default SLO Target. See requirement above.

The courses are consolidated per the following rules:

    1. Only one record will be reported for courses that have the same course number in the "xx.0xxx000" format with the same SLO Measure type and SLO target values.
    2. The course number (J106) is reported in the "xx.0xxx000" format.
    3. The course name (J125) is reported as the one that has the lowest first digit after the decimal in multiple iterations.
    4. The courses included in the report are the courses marked as SLO courses that have sections defined for at least one of the schools selected, with a term within the date range of Report Start Date and Report End Date, which are provided when the report is run.

Report Input

For help with navigation and running the report, see How to Find and Generate a Report.

Field

Description

Select Schools

Run the report using a selection of multiple schools or for all schools.

Report Start Date

Enter the start date of the report.

Note: Enter the date in a format of MM/DD/YYYY.

Report End Date

Enter the end date of the report.

Note: Enter the date in a format of MM/DD/YYYY.

File Path and File Suffix

The File Path and File Suffix must both be valid in order to save the results to a location on the server. The File Name will be the district number, date, and time, in the format dddYYYYMMDDHHmi, followed by the provided file suffix. For example a report run at district 999 on August 1, 2014 at 9:15 AM with a suffix of _AAA.txt will save the results to a file named 999201408010915_AAA.txt in the provided location. If no path is given, or if PowerSchool is unable to write to the given folder, the report will run but will not be saved to the server.
