FGRAM Fitness Extract (FitnessGram)

Introduction

The Fitnessgram 10 extract report generates records that include student, teacher, and class information. The output is submitted to Human Kinetics, the student fitness assessment vendor for GA DOE.

The report output has a header record with each data element's FGRAM name.

Selection Criteria

Selection criteria determine which database records are used in the report.

Student Selection

The report selects records from the [Students] table that meet the following criteria:

  • The student must not be excluded from state reporting.
  • The student must be enrolled in a fitness course (course number starting with 36) between the selected start date and end date.
  • The reported fitness course must not be taught by a teacher with the generic id '555555555'

Report Input

For help with navigation and running the report, see How to Find and Generate a Report.

Field

Description

Select Schools

Choose one of the following:

  • Current School Only – Includes all student records associated with the current school that meet selection criteria. To change the current school, click the School link at the top of the page and choose the appropriate school from the list.
  • All Schools – Includes all student records on the PowerSchool server that meet selection criteria.

Note: The All Schools option is only available when running the report from the District Office.

Current Selection Students

Run the report for the current selection of students or all students.

Report Start Date

The start date for the report. Defaults to the first day of the selected term.

Note: Format is MM/DD/YYYY

Report End Date

The end date for the report. Defaults to the last day of the selected term.

Note: Format is MM/DD/YYYY

For PowerSchool to save the results to a location on the server, the File Path and File Suffix must both be valid.

Password

  • Auto Generate – The password for the students are generated automatically in the following format:
    • UPPER 1 Character of First Name
    • UPPER 1 Character of Middle Name if exists.
    • LOWER 1 Character of Last Name
    • FULL birthday in the format of MM/DD/YYYY

If the student has a legal name, then the first character of the legal names will be used instead of the preferred name. If only one legal name is available, then the first character of the legal name along with the first characters of the first and middle names from the preferred name will be used.

  • Blank - No password will be extracted in the report.

Note: When submitting files without passwords, ensure that you have selected the "Do Not Update Username and Password on Import" option under the District & Schools settings available under the Settings icon on the FitnessGram website.
