Federal Race/Ethnicity Export

Introduction

This report will extract a record for each student and his or her federal race/ethnicity values in PowerSchool as well as the state reporting race/ethnicity value string. This report is for data auditing purposes and can be run for the entire district, a single school, all students, or a selection of students.

Selection Criteria

Selection criteria determine which database records are used in the report. Refer to selection criteria for analysis when the report does not return the correct records.

Student Selection

The report selects records from the [Students] table based on the following criteria:

The student must be actively enrolled on the user defined snapshot date.
The student must have a school enrollment that has ended as of the user defined snapshot date.

Field	Description
Select Schools*	If run at the district level, choose one of the following: Select Multiple Schools – Select schools to include in the report. To select a single school, click that school. To select multiple schools, use Ctrl+Click and select each school to be included. Select schools to include in the report All Schools – Run the report for the entire district. If run at the school level, the report includes all records associated with the current school that meet the selection criteria. To change the current school, click School at the top of the page and choose the appropriate school from the list.
Select Students*	Indicate which students to include in the report by selecting one of the following options: The Selected x Students Only – Run the report for students in the current selection. All Students – Run the report for all students in the current school or district that meet the selection criteria. Note: If running the report for a single student, or group of students, select the students prior to running report.
Reporting date*	Enter the report snapshot date.
Snapshot Mode	Check the box if you wish to run the report as a snapshot on the reporting date. Note: In snapshot mode, only students that are active on the reporting date will be extracted.
Races/Ethnicities to be Extracted	Select the Races/Ethnicities to be exported. All Races/Ethnicities (default) Hispanic/Latino American Indian/Alaskan Native Asian Black/African American White Native Hawaiian/Pacific Islander Multi-Racial (two or more selected races) Note: Students with the Hispanic/Latino flag set to “Yes” and another Race selected (White for example) do not count as Multi-Racial.
