To delete multiple SELA records, you will need to export the records, delete them from the export file, and import the changes back into PowerSchool SIS.
Export the Records
From the start page, select Page and Data Management, then Data Export Manager.
In the Category field, choose Database Extensions.
Choose to Export from the S_CA_STU_ELA_C table.
Select the checkbox for STUDENTS.S_CA_STU_ELA_C to select all the fields in the table.
Filter for the records you want to delete.
Click Show Records and verify these are the records you want to delete.
Verify the Records to Export count is the same number of records reviewed.
Verify that Include Column Headers is selected.
Modify the Export File
You will be making a permanent mass change to your data when you import this file back into PowerSchool SIS. It is important that you validate that all records in the export file are the records you want to delete.
Open the export file.
Validate that all the records in this file are the records you want to delete.
Delete the row values with the following exceptions:
Do not modify the first row.
Do not delete the values in the S_CA_STU_ELA_C.ID field.
Save the modified file.
Import and Delete the Records
- From the start page, select Page and Data Management, then Data Export Manager.
- Click Choose File and select the modified export file.
- Select the Import Into, then S_CA_STU_ELA_C.
- Click Next.
- Verify all columns are mapped and click Next.
Select Check to exclude the first row (contains headers).
- Choose to Update existing record when a record in the import file matches an existing record in the database.
Select Check to confirm that records should be deleted if blank rows exist in the import file.
