Set PASI Student Default Values


The Set PASI Student Default Values report is a student report that sets default values for PASI-specific custom fields. You can either generate a report to only view the field values that will change or you can actually set the default values. The fields updated by this report are as follows:

  • Legal Name Is Exact [IsExact] = Y
  • Other or Legal Name Is Preferred [PreferredNameInd] = Legal/Other [based on rule]
  • Document Type [DocType] = RegForm
  • Phone Is Listable [IsListable] = U [if applicable]
  • Deceased Status [DeceasedStatus] = N


  • This report is for a one-time use only and can be used to set student default values before running Initial Synchronization with PASI.
  • Ensure that all the new student fields required for PASI Direct Connect are created by submitting them for at least one student.
  • No changes are made to the above field values in the database until you run the report using the Save Changes option checked.
  • This process does not generate any events/transactions. Therefore, although data in PowerSchool is updated, it will not be submitted to PASI.

Select Schools

If run at the district level, choose one of the following:

  • Select Multiple Schools – Select schools to include in the report. To select a single school, click that school. To select multiple schools, use Ctrl+Click and select each school to be included.
  • All Schools – Run the report for the entire district.

If run at the school level, the report includes all records associated with the current school that meet the selection criteria. To change the current school, click School at the top of the page and choose the appropriate school from the list.

Current Selection Students

Select All Students or a selection of students.

Overwrite Existing Values

Check this box to overwrite exiting values in the database for these fields. This defaults to No.

Save changes

Check this box to save the changes to the database for these fields. This defaults to No.

Report Output

The results are written to the PasiStudentsDefaults.csv file.Each of the fields displayed in the output of the report are described below. See Understanding the Report Output Tablefor a definition of each column in the table.
