PI-1563 Pupil Count Report

Report Setup Requirements for Students

  • Students must be in grades PK3-12.
  • Students must have gender.
  • Students that fall into the Non-Resident Reductions, Resident Reductions, or Resident Additions categories, but have the appropriate code set on the WI-PI1563 page.

The PI 1563 reports categorize students according to their grade level. Students in Kindergarten and K4 are further categorized according to their program schedule (Indicated on the WISEdata Student Information page). It is important to have students enrolled in the appropriate grade and to have an appropriate program schedule selected for students in K and K4.

The following is a list of each category in the PI1563 reports along with the criteria used to place students in those categories.

4-Year Old Kindergarten (437 hrs plus 87.5 hrs outreach)

5-Year Old Kindergarten ½ Day

Grade 0. Program Schedule = 50KG

5-Year Old Kindergarten 3 Full Days

Select Set All; this will store your selections for this report which is helpful when you need to submit a new file and you are unsure of how you created your last file.

Select Schools

If run at the district level, choose one of the following:

  • Select Multiple Schools – Select schools to include in the report. To select a single school, click that school. To select multiple schools, use Ctrl+Click and select each school to be included. Select schools to include in the report
  • All Schools – Run the report for the entire district.

If run at the school level, the report includes all records associated with the current school that meet the selection criteria. To change the current school, click School at the top of the page and choose the appropriate school from the list.

Date

Enter the Date – usually this is the Third Friday of September or the 2nd Friday in January.

Trace (Internal Option)

Check the enabled button of you would like Trace Enabled. Do not need to Enable.

Include Query Output in Trace (Internal Option)

If Trace is enabled, you can enable the Query Output Row Number Limit. Do not need to set.

If Trace is enabled, you can enable the Query Output Row Number Limit. Do not need to set.

Sample Dataset Mode (Internal Option)

You do not need to check this box.

Run Now

Click the Run Now button to run this report.

Submit

Click the submit button. You will be taken to the Report Queue. Once your file is complete, click on the complete button and you will have a PDF file to assist you in compiling your spreadsheet for the State.
