H - Student Grade History File 2022-2023

Introduction

The Student Grade History file includes one record for each high school course where a student attempted to earn credit. The file includes all of the student's historical grade records for high school. The final grade for the course must be the same grade that will appear on the student's transcript. Grade history records for courses the student received from schools outside the serving district should be reported using Location ID 9999.

Selection Criteria

Selection criteria determine which database records are used in the report. Refer to selection criteria for analysis of report results when the report does not return the correct records.

Grade Selection

The report selects records from the [StoredGrades] and [CC] tables based on the following criteria:

  • The school where the grade was awarded must not offer grade levels below 9 or above 12.
  • The school where the grade was awarded must not be excluded from state reporting.
  • The course for which the grade was awarded must offer credit (potential credit must be greater than zero).
  • The student's school Entry Date must be on or before the last day of the current school year.
  • The student's school Exit Date must be on or after the first day of the current school year.
  • The student must not be a no-show (the school Exit Date must occur after the school Entry Date).

Report Input

For help with report navigation and generation, see How to Find and Generate a Report.
