CEDARS 2022-23 Changes Overview

D - Course Catalog File
The D - Course Catalog File has the following updates:
Element D07 - New Course Designation Code "J-Tribal Language Competency Test" is added.
Element D13 - Added new valid values.
Element D17 - Validation 1105 was deactivated in a 2019-2020 SY Hot Fix.
H - Student Grade History File
The H - Student Grade History File has the following updates:
Element H13 - New Course Designation Code "J-Tribal Language Competency Test" is added.
Element H20 - The "Is CTE Completer" element is deactivated.
Element H21 - The "Has Industry Certification" element is deactivated.
Element H21 - Validation 1105 was deactivated in a 2019-2020 SY Hot Fix.
I - Student Attributes and Programs File
The I - Student Attributes and Programs File has the following update:
I10 – Gifted Program Referral Codes G, H, I, and J are deactivated.
J - English Learners File
The J - English Learners File has the following update:
Element J23 - Overall Placement Test Score - "0.00" is added.
L - Student Ethnicity File
The L - Student Ethnicity File has the following update:
Element L06 - Valid value 3 is deactivated and a new valid value 4 is added.
M - Student Race File
The M - Student Race File has the following updates:
Element M05 - The business rule is updated to align reporting expectations with Element M06 valid value changes.
Element M06 - Valid value 3 is deactivated and a new valid value 4 is added.
R - Student Exclusionary Discipline File
The R - Student Exclusionary Discipline File has the following updates:
Element R15 - New valid value ALJ – Administrative Law Judge (ALJ) Removal is added.
Element R24 - This is a new element Safety and Security Staff Involvement Status.
Element R25 - This is a new element Safety and Security Staff Involvement Type.
Element R26 - This is a new element Safety and Security Staff Involvement Outcome for Student.
S - Students Restrained or Isolated File
The S - Student Restrained or Isolated File has the following updates:
Element S09 - Valid values 6 and 8 updated. New valid values 17 and 18 added.
Element S12 - This is a new element Safety and Security Staff Involvement Status.
Element S13 - This is a new element Safety and Security Staff Involvement Type.
Element S14 - This is a new element Safety and Security Staff Involvement Outcome for Student.
T - Non-traditional Student Credit Attempt File
The T - Non-Traditional Student Credit Attempt File has the following update:

U - Initial Evaluation and Eligibility Timelines File
The U - Initial Evaluation and Eligibility Timelines File has the following updates:
Element U10 - New valid values 4, 5, and 6 added to streamline and simplify the cross-element validations between Elements U07, U10, U11, and U12.
Element U11 - The business rule is updated to align with U10 valid value changes.
Element U12 - The business rule and description are updated to streamline and simplify the cross-element validations between Elements U07, U10, U11, and U12.
