Student Setup

Introduction

The following data elements are required for student setup. The first two pages of navigation are removed for brevity:

Start Page, Student.

  1. On the Start Page, select the School link at the top of the page.

  2. Choose the appropriate school from the dialog box.

  3. Click Submit.

  4. Select the first letter of the student's last name.

  5. Select a student from the list. The last accessed student information page opens for the student selected.

Each time the Update report is processed it examines particular fields to see if there are any changes for this student. If changes are found, a new record with a new effective date is created.

Configuring Standardized Test Performance Levels

State/Province – SC, EFA/EIA Classification Information, Standardized Test Performance Level

Use this tab to view imported Standardized Test Performance Level records for students in your school. Multiple year test information is stored in this table.

The data displayed on the Standardized Testing Performance Level Page isread only. The only way that data can be entered to display on this page is through imports or using the Standardized Test Performance Level History tab.

The fields required for importing using the System, Page and Data Management, Data Import Manager are:

  • StudentsDCID – This information can be exported using DDE. It does not display on any page.

  • StudentID – The internal student id from the Students table.

  • School_ID – The school id where the student was enrolled at the time of testing.

  • Grade_Level – The grade level of the student at the time of testing.

  • Year_ID – The internal ID number of the year that the test was taken. For 2013-2014 this is 23. For 2014-2015 this is 24.

  • Test_Date – The date the test was taken in mm/dd/yyyyformat.

At least one of the following fields must be populated:

  • Performance_Level_HSASSESS_ELA – Value must be 1, 2, 3, or 4. 1 is Not Met, 2 is Met, and 3 and 4 are Proficient.

  • Performance_Level_HSASSESS_MATH - Value must be 1, 2, 3, or 4. 1 is Not Met, 2 is Met, and 3 and 4 are Proficient.

  • SCPASS_Performance_Level_ELA – Value must be 1, 2, or 3. 1 is Not Met, 2 is Met and 3 is Exemplary.

  • SCPASS_Performance_Level_MATH – Value must be 1, 2, or 3. 1 is Not Met, 2 is Met and 3 is Exemplary.

Test Date

The date the test was taken.

Defining State/Province Information

Adding Contacts

State/Province – SC, Contacts

To edit a contact, click Edit to the left of the row. To delete a contact, click Edit and click Delete.

To copy/move a contact from one location to the other: Click Copy to the right of the row that has the contact that you want to copy/move.

  • In the lower left corner, select Copy to copy this contact to another location. To the right select the Contact field to copy the data. When you click Submit, if the contact field you are copying the data to already has data, you will be prompted to allow the data to be overwritten or you can cancel. If the contact field is blank, clicking Submit copies the data to the new contact but does not delete the data in the original field. You will have to edit the record to delete the data.

  • In the lower left corner, select Move to move this contact to another location. To the right, select the Contact field to move the data. When you click Submit, if the contact field thatare you are moving the data to already has data, you will be prompted to allow the data to be overwritten or you can cancel. If the contact field is blank, clicking Submit moves the data to the new contact and deletes the data in the prior contact.
