SC26 Precode Initialization

You can run the Precode Initialization at the beginning of each school year to clear out Precode data for each student from the prior school year. Precode data is used each year to provide information to the state for testing purposes.

Verify the school year before running. Once started, this process cannot be stopped. Run this process only once per school year.

When the initialization process is run, all current year values for the designated students in the selected schools are deleted in the Students table.

  • Alternate Assessment – No settings made. The value is left as is.

  • Alternate Assessment Exception – Assigns a value of blank. Note: This field was removed for 2018-19.

  • First Name – Assigns a blank value.

  • Last Name – Assigns a blank value.

  • ELA Custom Materials - Assigns a N/A value.

  • ELA Oral/Signed Admin– Assigns a N/A value.

  • Math Custom Materials – Assigns a N/A value.

  • Math Oral/Signed Admin – Assigns a N/A value.

  • Science Custom Materials – Assigns a N/A value.

  • Science Oral/Signed Admin – Assigns a N/A value.

  • Soc Stu Custom Materials – Assigns a N/A value.

  • Social Studies Oral/Signed Admin – Assigns a N/A value.

  • ELA Sort ID - Assigns a blank value.

  • Math Sort ID - Assigns a blank value.

  • Science Sort ID - Assigns a blank value.

  • Social Studies Sort ID - Assigns a blank value.

  • EOCEP Online Administration for English – Assigns a zero value.

  • EOCEP Online Administration for Algebra – Assigns a zero value.

  • EOCEP Online Administration for Biology – Assigns a zero value.

  • EOCEP Online Administration for USHC – Assigns a zero value.

  • Other Alternate Assessment SchoolID is set to blank.

  • Career Readiness Grade 12 – Assigns a zero value.

  • Career Readiness Paper – Assigns a zero value.

  • Career Readiness Accommodations – Assigns a N/A value.

  • Precode 1 – Assigns a value of blank.

  • Precode 2 – Assigns a value of blank.

  • Precode 3 – Assigns a value of blank.

  • Precode 4 – Assigns a value of blank.

  • Precode 5 – Assigns a value of blank.

  • Students Not Tested Reason – Assigns a blank value.

  • Request Exclusion Indicator – Assigns 'N' value.

  • Student Not Test – LEP Only – Assigns '0' value.

  • Student Not Tested Reason – LEP Only – Assigns a blank value.

  • Alternate Assessment Teacher First Name and Alternate Assessment Teacher Last Name - Assigns blank values.

  • Needs Braille - No settings made. The value is left as is.

  • ELP Paper - Assigns a value of blank.

  • Tier - Assigns a value of blank.

Selection Criteria

Selection criteria determine which database records are used in the report. Refer to the selection criteria for analysis when the report does not return the correct records.

The process runs for students who are currently enrolled in any selected school or are enrolled at any time during the current school year. The process excludes no show students (enrollment enter and exit dates are marked as the same date in the currently selected school year).

Select Schools

At the District Level:

  • Use the Run for All Schools option below to run the extract for all schools not excluded from state reporting.

  • Select Multiple Schools allows the user to use the Ctrl or SHIFT key on your keyboard to click each school you want to run the extract.

At the School Level:

  • Use the Run for All Schools option below to run the extract for all schools not excluded from state reporting.

  • Select Current School Only to run the extract just for the current school.

Run for All Schools

Select Yes at the District Level if you want to run this for all schools in the LEA.
