Configuring EFA and EIA Classification Information

Entering EFA Codes

State/Province – SC, EFA/EIA Classification Information, EFA Code Entry

Use this tab to maintain EFA classification records for students in your school.

EFA Primary

Choose the primary EFA classification for this student from the dialog box.

See the Appendix for valid values.

  • VOC and VOC2 can be selected only in the EFA Primay field

  • VOC2 can be selected only if the student has a VOC in the second semester and does not have VOC in the first semester.

Effective Start Date

Enter the date when the primary EFA classification or additional EFA classification went or will go into effect for this student.

This date must be an in-session day within the current school year and after the student’s initial enrollment for the selected school year. It must also be later than any existing start dates in history.

Each time you enter the Effective Start Date an EFA History record is created. You can view these records in the EFA History table at the bottom of the page or edit these history records on the EFA History tab.

Note: This field displays only after you enter an EFA classification. The field is blank by default.

Effective Start Date

Enter the date that the EIA codes went or will go into effect for this student. This field displays only after you enter an EIA code and is blank by default.

This date must be an in-session day within the current school year and after the student’s initial enrollment for the selected school year. It must also be later than any existing start dates in history.

Use this tab to maintain High Achieving records for students in your school. To add records, click Add and enter the effective date and appropriate High Achieving Classification. Use the High Achieving History tab to edit records.
